Which heartbreaking unbelievable playoff loss hurt you the most?

Really hard to choose but I think 2018 has to take the cake here. The other two were “our fault”

Man we’ve gone through some shite lol

Has to be the no-call. Not the Saints fault and it was the NFC CG. Win that and they would be in the SB. The other 2 still had to win one more game

I was in New York for the Vikings game at Bar none which is a Saints/Vikings bar. That comeback was just insane and it was rocking on the saints side of the bar. Then it happened.

pretty bad when this list doesn't even include the seattle beast mode game.

The NOLA no call because I have no doubt we were going to win the Super Bowl. It was our year.
2017 I wasn’t really expecting it because we were so young but by 2018 we were ready and the window was wide open

Why do you all blame fluke calls/situations that happen every game but no fault is directed at the great drew brees?

Quit taking cumshots in the eyes from him and watch the games

Because he’s Drew Brees nerd. Get off my board.

Idk bc Drew Brees led the comeback in 2017 and in 2018 he didn’t play perfect, but he was also 80 years old with a bum shoulder (due to a hustle play against ATL late in the season- tbh also another blown call bc the play should’ve been blown dead 10 seconds prior) and it still took the NOLA No Call to lose that NFC Championship game.

Because the common denominator is the HC when it comes to Ws and Ls.

Those that adore payton on this board love to rave about his winning percentage.

He is also responsible for those and many more missed opportunities and devastating loses.

No call. I was there and I’ve never been so angry at a sporting event in my entire life. Not even close.

2011 Vernon Davis ended the season for the greatest offensive team that the Saints have ever had. They were not the best overall Saints team, but they had the best offense we’ve ever had.

Man, all of 2011 I saw us winning the fricking Super Bowl. We were winning 2 in 3.

That was just an all-time team. Drew in his prime. The emergence of Jimmy Graham. Darren Sproles heading a really diverse and talented backfield with Chris Ivory, Mark Ingram, and Pierre. The entire OL was dudes. Colston. Opportunistic D. Lance Moore.

Incredible comeback down 17 @ SF. 2 huge plays to Sproles and Graham. It felt like we had found the crack and busted the pipe. Take the lead with a minute and a half left. Hold SF, get them to a 3rd down and...

Alex Smith. Vernon Davis.

Brees's absolute best year and our best team ever wasted.

Both were Roger retaliations; wasn’t going to let Sean near Super Bowl. Sinister league of coincidences.

Our best offense ever, but a terrible defense that ended up catching up to us in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, that illegal hit on Pierre Thomas on our first drive that broke his jaw and caused him to fumble and turn the ball over on the goal line instead of scoring really set the tone for that game.

I don’t know where you been but we all absolutely blasted Brees for falling apart in the Tampa 2021 Divisional game. J Cook too. Brees was absolutely money in 2017-2018 tho

No call easily. That took a piece of me. I have never been so dejected in a lose. I haven’t stepped foot in the dome since that night and probably never will again. That one hurt and was the end of an era for me as a Saints fan.

Possible butterfly effect is that Brees retires if they win the SB and get Brady in 2020.

The no-call is number 1. But I think the 49ers comeback was our year to win another Lombardi. We coupd have beat the Giants and then taken it to the weak Patriots!!!
