So the Carolina Panthers are eyeing Payton?

Per Michael McCarthy
This is going to happen (edit: Payton coaching again) and when it does, there’s going to be a whole lot of new opinions of Payton and probably Skylene (or however you spell her made-up name).

The Carolina @Panthers are eying coach Sean Payton, sources tell @FOS. After missing playoffs 4 straight seasons, Panthers might be willing to wait a year while former Super Bowl-winning New Orleans @Saints coach explores TV with @amazon or @FOXSports.

Any team hiring Payton within the next two years would owe the Saints compensatory picks, right?

Trading in the division would cause the price to be higher

This is retard fuel for Rohan graby

Sounds like something Mike McCarthy would be pushing

We absolutely should trade that arrogant choker Payton to the Panthers for a massive haul

We hold all the leverage right?
We can say we want 40 years of first round picks or we will just retain Payton’s rights forever and he’s never coaching for anyone else again?

Yes.
Wrong. It’s not compensatory picks. We hold his rights and decide where we will trade him or even if we will trade him. And for how much.
I find it hard to believe they will trade him to a division rival unless it’s some ungodly haul of pics.

I’ve thought that if he would go to another team the compensation in reality wouldn’t be as high as we’d expect on this board.
That would change big time if a division rival was pursuing him IMO. I think we’d try to bleed them dry.

They would have to trade for him.

I can't see any price that puts him in the same division.
I would discount the price for the afc vs the nfc.

We cannot play good guy and let that prick go where he wants for cheap. Mickey needs to play hardball and get the big bag. I would love Carolina, we will get high draft choices in all rounds.

Carolina's 1st rounder would be a great pick next year, and the next one likely will be too

it won't happen.
They'd probably have to package a player as well.

Is this what that other thread about something happening Thursday is about? Because if so, I’m disappointed.

We only hold the leverage for the next three seasons. He can coach anywhere he wants for no compensation in 2025.

Then he would trade every other pick they have every year to trade up a couple spots for someone that will be IR.
I say go for it we could really screw their team for years lol. Also he could find something to trade for Taysom, shite I meant "the next Steve young"

Two firsts, two seconds, and two thirds for Payton. Hill, Ruiz, Turner and Peat

This happens and I will burn Paytons house here myself.
