Moore also declined to go for it at the 50 on 4th and short and on another drive we got knocked out of FG range by penalties. Easily could’ve been 3-10 more points on the board.

Just gloss over them having 7 points on their first drive and the defense pitching a shutout afterwards to let him get the lead. He had 5 drives to get 10 points in the first half, wowzers
Did Rattler not have chances to score points and keep those games close in the first halves? Did Tampa, Seattle, SF, and Chicago get 8 straight possessions before the refs let Rattler touch the ball?

So shough should win a few games and look good doing it

If the QB was the only one to dictate wins & loses; then yes, he should.

since hes better than Rattler, right?

I never said that, but he has looked better in his small sample size. And his 2nd start most likely matches Rattler's best start (W2 vs SF)

The Saints have held opponents under 20 points twice all season. We won both of those games. We have lost every other game

The Offense's job is to score points.

They are judged on that, not what the defense is doing. If Ratt was lighting it up but losing because of the D (as happened to Brees many times), then no one would be judging Ratt.

But his offenses couldn't score either

Because the defense could rest instead of being on the field constantly after turnovers and quick 3 and outs. Starting field position was flipped also after some decent drives that didn’t result in points.

Is the offense playing with the same game plan when they are down multiple scores as opposed to when a defense is pitching a shutout?

Does a qb develop a better rhythm when his defense gets him back on the field more often?

It’s called complimentary football. It works both ways. We also scored ten points in our first two possessions to get the lead, how often did we do that with rattler?

Also you can say the saints won the two games they held the opposition under 20 points, but we’ve also won the only two times we’ve put up over 300 yards total offense with zero turnovers.

Separately if you can’t admit that just on pure eye test Shough is clearly better than Rattler then you’re too biased to be taken seriously. Does it mean shough is the long term answer? No we’re far from knowing that yet, but at least he might be. We know rattler isn’t

None of that is relevant over the course of several games. The offense scores points regardless of what the defense is doing.

If they are behind, the need to be able to air it out. If the defense is playing well, they need to be able to be accurate when called upon.

Rattler just is not good enough. He can't move the ball downfield.

We did not. It took 3 possessions and we went scoreless the rest of the half.

Rattler scored 10 points in the first 3 drives against the Cardinals game one

Edit: seeing these simple factual statements get downvoted is the very definition of why saints talk is one of the dumbest boards on this site.

Its really strange. Of all the things to simp this hard for, a 5th round qb that was mostly mediocre to average in college, that got replaced on his 1st college team by a 1st round talent, and then went 1-13 in the NFL.

Its super weird

Whats weird is you guys ignoring me complementing shough then providing irrefutable information to support my statements regarding Spencer. I even admitted itt that hes probably going to be a career backup yet I'm "going down with the ship"

So yeah, super weird

You’re coming across angry that Shough had a great game and the Saints won. Really bizarre.

Buddy would have been here bumping this thread and starting a new one at 3:05 yesterday if things would have went the other way
