Histrionics aside, and given the current train wreck of a roster, I’m of the opinion that using 40 overall on a 3rd project QB that is older than Trevor Lawrence is a giant mistake from Loomis when the best player available on defense would almost certainly immediately be a starter and have a larger impact on the team.
Simply: He’s not worth 40th overall for almost any team much less one with the roster holes the Saints have.
I’m just pleasantly surprised Loomis didn’t trade up to make a bad pick like normal.
