Shough has to start and be good next year to justify this pick, right?

How can anyone justify a multi-year learning curve for a top-40 QB who will be 26 when the season starts?

If we wait until year 3 he'll be 29

That's the age Mahomes was this past year

Where is the logic in this pick unless he AND our team is ready to compete for playoffs in 2025?

Don’t you dare question the long history Moore and Doug have at drafting qbs son.

It’s not a justifiable pick. If there is a better talent available in Round 1 next year, do you pass on that player to cover up for this pick?

Who is Kellen Moore to question the QB evaluation of Kellen Moore?

He’s Moore’s pick. He will have every opportunity to start and I’d be surprised if he didn’t. Regardless of age, he’s still a rookie and our WRs and TEs kinda suck.

If Rattler starts and is good, then that’s a win for Moore.

If Rattler starts all year and sucks…you can really question this pick.

Talented QB who is mature and can come in and start without having as much of a learning curve. Carr’s situation kind of forced his hand on this. It’s a pick at 40, not 9.

No? If you drafted a clipboard holder with a high second, you should be fired

But who am I kidding? No one is there to told Mickey accountable

fricking clowns were high fiving over reaching on a 26 year old they had no competition for

Normally. No.

Because of his age, yes.

At some point.

Talented QB

this doesn't describe Shough...

what has he done, in ANY of the 7 years in college, that would justify him being labeled as "talented"?

We're discussing Moore's logic, then.

Well, that's kind of a problem drafting a WW2 vet in the top 40

Talented QB

really?

This is exactly what the discussion of this thread is.

Carr’s situation kind of forced his hand on this.

That makes no sense. How? Why?

40 is really important for a rebuilding team without talent. REALLY REALLY important.

Absolutely.

I don’t have an issue with Shough as much as the situation.

I get taking an older qb.

I get taking a qb without much success but having a lot of physical tools.

I don’t really get taking both when your roster also kinda sucks.
