He does.

I'm still hopeful though. But the best backup QB in this game isn't Teddy.

Troubling thing is ... it's not like the throws he's missing badly on today are difficult. He can't make the easy throws either.

Depending on when Brees retires, I would tank. It's amazing we almost had Mahomes to follow Brees. I think Lawrence is tank worthy.

In the event this is Brees' last season, unless the Saints get amazingly lucky in the draft, you're going to be hard pressed to find a quality starter in free agency in 2020.

Eli Manning would probably be the 'best' established QB on the market if he actually continues playing.

Bridgewater is a backup.

That’s all he will ever be.

He’s an upper end back up at best. 2nd year in system, his 3rd start (1 regular season) and he is what the stats show and the eyes see. It ain’t great.

Ain't even good. He's just an insurance policy in case Taysom gets hurt we'd still have a back up QB.

cousins type
Has a truly awful record vs winning teams.

5-13 in prime time
4-24 vs winning teams
Last year vs winning teams 0-5
Career road record 12-23-2
0-7 on Monday night football

And plenty people wanted that guy on this team.

We don't want a Cousins type. We want a Brees type as hard as that might be to get

I don't think two preseason games and one regular season game that didn't matter is enough of a sample size to really determine anything one way or the other with Teddy Bridgewater. He was very efficient last week.

Teddy will never be a top NFL QB. Taysom has a chance to be. Don’t get me wrong, replacing a HOF Brees is not what I am saying about Taysom, but with talent around him, we can win with him and not Teddy.
