There’s a lot there
I say interview, it’s basically an hour of Payton just talking and telling stores
Talks about some of the Saints/Bucs battles and how to beat brady, inside past drafts, discovering Taysom Hill and the big contact, how the saints pay out player bonuses, onside Kick in the SB, falcon rivalry, evaluating Romo with the cowboys, having a 4th rd grade on brady with the giants, juicy fruit, inside some past playoff games, few other little tidbits

Yep. Some of the nuanced things he talks about makes you realize why he was successful

Great listen. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes I feel like Payton rambles/takes too long to get his point across but overall he has so much insight to give.

Thanks for this sandy. He talks a lot but it is so good. I wish they could have asked him more questions

Did he give advice on how to steal pain pills?

Enjoyed that interview. I think Payton's biggest strengths are preparation. Seldom did I feel like Payton didn't have the team prepared to play or at least didn't make adjustments at the half. Also his players liked and respected him.

I think he is a great leader and a HOF coach but a tremendously overrated offensive strategist (he was clearly above average but regarded as a savant). I’ll argue vehemently that he was a below average tactician and frankly a bad in-game coach who regularly made ridiculous decisions based on emotion at the worst possible times.
The constant loss of timeouts due to his inability to get a playcall in drove me batty. That said, he clearly has “it” and players around the league clearly regard him as a top 5 coach which is frankly all that matters. He’s got the stuff.
The Rams NFCCG was just such a fricking crime the way it change his and Drew’s legacies if we get to that second SB. They both deserved better.

His decisions won us way more games than not. People love innovation and creativity when it’s working and often times take it for granted without realizing what they’re witnessing. No such thing as a 100% hit rate bubs

If Jameis Winston doesn't get hurt he has us 13-4. With Jameis f'n Winston. Below Average Tactician? Blow me. You have no idea what ur talking about. He's one of the best tacticians of All Time.

I agree with this. Just look at the qbs they won with last season. Now, I do wish that he would have made wholesale defensive coaching changes sooner. Holding on to a lot of the same coaches while changing d coordinators was a mistake in my opinion.

He was the complete opposite of what we had in BR throughout that same stretch of time.

Greetings. Everyone knows inside that locker room he did. Typical squirrel Saints "fan" living in denial.

holding onto all of his buddies costed us a ring IMHO.
is it a shock we replace the DL, LB, ST coach and all of a sudden our guys are ALL playing consistent and at times elite?
