The raiders are the worst team in the league by far. This is just confirmation bias. It was reported he was in the building that week. As well as all kinds of other past legends.

The fact that allen had payton come in and give the team a pep talk shows how bad of a head coach he is. Dude should be fired immediately. He is the worst hire in saints history.

if true, it shows what this current team can do, even with all the injuries they have, if they had a real coach running the show

If he can't properly motivate the team then yeah, he needs to be clipped on black Monday.

It's my understanding that the Saints will be hosting the Ghost of Knute Rockne along with the Gipper for this week's pep talk. This one's in the bag.

Confirmed fake news
Well, that does improve my thoughts when I originally heard about this.

It's really sad and embarrassing to think that we have fans that believe that it would take a pep talk from CSP to motivate an already self motivated professional athlete to go out and do their best.

Right. People are so dumb. The raiders are just that bad.

More proof that the players aren't responding to DA.
Different coaching styles.
SP is in your face and on your arse. Whether you are playing well or poorly.
DA is more reserved and expects the adult players to motivate themselves.

Alvin Kamara…I love that guy. He clears up this fake news and yet often hated on this board. Meanwhile, CSP needs to coach next year…here or another NFL team so we can move on.

They played lights out against the Raiders because they had 0 turnovers, only 27 yds in penalties
All what you say is true.. It just so happened after Payton's talk and no other game in the season... And when was the last time Kamara ran like that? I hadn't seen that in a couple of years..

Sean Payton gave team pep talk before Raiders game shutout
Says Peter Schrager, whose source is Sean Payton.
The desperation from Payton is embarrassing and yet not surprising for a guy who is a loser as a person, as well as an overrated AF football coach.

The pep talk NEVER occurred. Schrager admitted that he made a mistake. When was the last time Kamara ran like that? That would be 2 weeks before against the Bengals when he had 100 yds. rushing and the week before that against the Seahawks when he had 103 rush yds. and Taysom had 112 rush yds.
I don't think Payton gave any pep talks for those games either. Listen, I'm not trying to be an a-hole but the pep talk didn't happen. Kamara responded to Schrager's tweet for two reasons. 1) because it was fake news and 2) because it is child like thinking to believe that these pro athletes would need a Knute Rockne speech from Sean Payton to motivate them.

Once again you are right those 2 games he had some yardage.. Look at the rest of the season for Kamara... It's been pretty bad.. I am really talking about running with force/balls.. He really was giving it his all and not just getting taken by the first defender.. And he had 62 yards in the Raiders game.. but 62 hard fought yards..
