Go look at his stats in preseason. He normally split time with TB as well.

Almost sounds as if the Saints are talking him up in hopes of getting a 1st rounder for him.

Yep. If they truly believe that then bringing in teddy again was even more perplexing along with starting teddy those 5 games.

So we gonna build around a 30 year old QB who relies on athleticism? That sound smart to you?

Exactly. A 30 year old qb who loves contact at that. One way to tank without looking like you’re tanking I guess.

I’m ready for Taysom.

A large part of me wants the drew stat train to continue as a Saint but the other part of me sees our financial situation and the star Taysom might can be NOW for us.

In two years, Taysom will be over 32 years old per my source.

He will not be a star. Again, you guys are blind by the all the great shite he does and think it will translate to him playing QB. He can sustain drives with his leagues but the dude is not a good passer and hasn't really progressed as a passer.

I'm all for letting Drew go if that's what is best for the team and Taysom would be fine for a year before we get a top pick and draft someone else. Because I guarantee you we will have a top 5 pick if he is our QB all year for next year. Because for one, he's not a great passer, and two, he will get hurt because of all the shots he will take from running and not getting down.

bingo. If drew retires you roll with Hill, he sucks and probably gets hurt and you have an even worse QB take over and suck even worse. Then draft Trevor Lawrence.

Profit.

Not if he cant hit his passes consistently which he won't be able to.

He seems to be a pretty effective passer when given the opportunity to throw.

Yeah anyone saying he isn’t a good passer is just being lazy. Is he Drew? No. But his passing is light years ahead of his first preseason here. I’m not afraid of rolling with Taysom whatstover. Especially with how giddy Payton would be drawing all kinds of plays up.

If the Saints can get Hill to slide on some scramble runs, that would be nice too

But the Saints also believe that in Taysom Hill, they have their quarterback of the future already on the roster.

BS if that were true then taysom would have replaced drew during his injury and teddy would have been the finesse trick play guy

if they thought taysom was the next starting QB after drew he wouldnt be playing the expendable player role out there risking serious injury on gimmick plays

this is all pure BS lip service so they can shift taysom for a 1st round compensatory pick

I would be blown away if a team was willing to give a first rounder for Taysom. If Drew retires, trade the player assets, and suck for a high pick QB.

Pretty sure Hill had less than 15 touches during that 5 game stretch.

exactly, if the saints felt he was drews replacement he would have started all 5 of those games

the fact he didnt tells you they dont seriously think of him as drews replacement

that said, when teddy leaves for a new team, he becomes our #2 by default, but not by intentional choice

No, not exactly. I am saying they pulled him back to avoid injuries and because he was the third string QB. Teddy was #2 and he got the shot to start during those 5 games.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. What trick plays would you run with teddy?

passes coming out of his hand look awkward and tend to float and he's not nearly as accurate as he could be.

Um, maybe last year. This year his passes are like ropes and accurate AF.
