Tough to say. The refs were already starting to get flag happy by 2011.
my guess is the ref didn't consider PT defenseless. He did get speared though no question.
That play really made a difference in the game too. The Saints were driving and about to get on the board and then lose PT for the game and get no points on that drive.

That game sucks. Was so angry after the game. Went to Penthouse in Baton Rouge for the first time and was throwing 20's on the stage. It was about $160 more in $20's that I could afford in college.

sadly, it was such a great game that we were on the wrong end of.
I still have no doubt in my mind that we demolish the Giants in the dome and get to our 2nd super bowl if we can stop Alex Smith from driving 90 yards in 90 seconds on us.
