Holy crap, my emotions are on a roller coaster each page of this thread I read.
1st page- holy shite we are trading one of my favorite players.
Page 3 or so- oh he has been a malcontent and wanted to much money. I understand he had to go. Loomis is a genius.
Page 4 or so- Excited because Roby and Taylor had good camps. We are good, trade makes sense.
Page 5- Slow Flo Pro reminds me we are in cap hell because of Taysom. That Roby is more a boundary player and not a good nickel and maybe picking up Maye and Honey Badger wasn't a good move. Loomis is an idiot.
Page 6 or 7- Holy shite, we gave them CGJ and a 7th for a 5th and a worse of two 6th. The sky is falling. Loomis is more than an idiot and ensuring the downfall of the Saints.
I don't know what to think. I think I'm officially melting.

We fricked ourselves by making bad moves and then made mediocre-bad moves to "fix" things, which will just cause us to have to make bad moves to fix those in a year or 2.
What is the point of drafting well if you frick your cap up by signing shite-mediocre vets to big deals, prohibiting you from signing your top young talent?

Mathieu still ranks as one of the top cover safeties against the slot. He will be matched up there plenty this year.

I’ll give the FO the benefit of the doubt on his value. I doubt they just took the first half assed offer that crossed their table.
ETA- that’s not to say the trade was a win or anything, but it’s plausible he torpedoed his value for us and this was the best we could do.

Wow what a terrible move. Chauncey maybe the best slot corner in the league. A leader and a fan favorite too. Head scratcher for sure.

Well maybe that’s his value under the circumstances?
Why on Earth would we sell for less than other offers?
