Bridgewater is a perfect scheme fit in New Orleans. Quick decision maker, accurate & tough.

it would be a bit insane

i agree, without some sort of reasonable extension a 2/3 is cuh-razy

The guys at PFF have been suggesting this for weeks for us, the Pats, or the Chargers. They mentioned some of his best work this preseason has been under pressure and hasn't looked hesitant at all coming off injury.

They will extend him before he even hits FA next year. This was a really smart move

yeah? If you're him, are you going to take an extension for anything less than starter money? The answer is no.

So either Brees DOESN'T retire and we just gave up picks for a 1 year backup rental, OR
Brees DOES retire and we pay $25m+/yr to a guy with 0 proven experience in our system

Yikes

Hope it works out, I like Teddy, but still kinda mixed feelings

frick that would be nuts for someone with just a 1 year deal.

this is funny

Crazy scene: #Jets players were on the bus when they stopped, told Teddy Bridgewater he’d been traded, he waved goodbye, then they drove off, source said. Bridgewater headed to the #Saints. Wild.

Tyrod Taylor was traded for the 65th overall pick. Bridgewater is younger and more potential.

And much more significant injury risk and less experience.

I said it before.

If they’d trade later round picks I really like it. If it’s a super high cost (2nd) I’m not a fan of it

Bridgewater is healthy or teams wouldn't have wanted to trade for him...

Bridgewater has started 15 less games and they bot have played in the same amount of playoff games.

A 2 or a 3 is insane, especially with his salary this year, for a single year backup.

But if this is something where they can extend him, and maybe he is the future, that might be a bargain.

If it’s a 4th round pick or lower I’ll love it. We also need to extend him fairly quickly for another 2-3 years.

People forget this guy made the Pro Bowl in 2015
