I like the signing, I thought he was better than most did when he was here, and he's been an above average corner since leaving.

I wonder if they play less 3 safety alignments meaning less of Von Bell & more of PRob in that slot

I don't think there's any doubt. Vaccaro only played in the slot so much out of necessity considering we haven't had a serviceable defensive backfield since 2013 before this year.

I highly doubt he ends up playing all of this contract out.

Louis Riddick and Bill Polian are singing his praises on NFL Live and say it was a good signing basically.

I'm sure it is situational, but I definitely think they play less 3 S if everyone is healthy.

I’d much rather PRob in the slot than Bell.

Have Coleman playing next to Williams.

this has been the FO MO since Ireland came on board

Sit back and pick value off the "scrap heap"

Yup. Everyone should have learned their lesson over the past two years, particularly after last year but we still had people panicking.

Maybe we can get bargains with guys like Tyler Eifert or Eric Decker as well to fill in some of those holes.

And then in the draft you can kind of go where you want to.

Decent signing but I was expecting a bigger splash move on the first day of free agency

That’s a pretty salty 4 CBs

PJ Williams only had 1 or 2 games of nfl experience before last season and I thought he played fine. Word is he has a bit of a temper and overly cocky and has had run ins with coach though. He definitely has talent.

I think PJ is better on the boundary than nickel although some people disagree. I look at him to backup Crawley and Lattimore with PRob taking over the nickel.

Now understand in football, especially the NFL, many players have run ins with head coaches. People think Payton gets rid of you for that but in reality unles you are a cancer to the locker room he isn’t going to, unless you get way out of line. PJ has a good relationship with his teammates.

We signed the #1 FA in the NFL. That's a pretty big splash.

Significantly. He was also playing on better defenses with better pass rushes, to be fair.

And he'll have it in New Orleans now too. He didn't before.

Damn that's a good deal. So far, so good. 2 signings in free agency & both are good value.

I'm assuming this means we're done with defensive backs. We're pretty damn deep. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if we signed a really cheap backup Safety. Can't really see us investing more than that.

Lattimore
Crawley
PRob
PJ Williams
Maulet - My guess is that he locks down that 5th CB spot
Hardee - ST demon

Marcus Williams
Bell
Kurt Coleman
Banjo - potential candidate to be cut.
