SFP strikes me as one of those guys that cannot resist the urge to let people know just how smart he is. He will never be understood by the ignorant masses. Hence his sig quote. He probably is fun at parties because it's always a good time to make fun of the "smartest guy in the room".

Why do you give a shite about the cap SFP? It isn't real and has never hindered us from doing what we wanted.

So we want to keep overpaying guys like Peat, Kamara, T. Hill, Mathieu, Maye, etc.?

That opens up its own can of worms for discussion

did you miss the part where we just re-worked his contract to create more cap space?

Rework isn’t even the right term. Peat took a straight pay cut.

No melt here buddy. Just here for entertainment. Kinda like what football is. I enjoy watching it and dont get my panties in a wad (unlike someone on here) when my team makes moves with players or money bc at the end of the day, my life will go on.

He goes into every thread doing it. It should be embarrassing, but he seems to be too smug to realize it.

Why does this bother you? Every team has players that are overpaid. You listed guys that we count on to start games for us.

Again, why do you give a shite about the salary cap?

We all waited to see what direction the Saints were going to go.

Take our medicine and get the cap in order or try to keep winning now.
Being in a crap division I believe made their choice easier.

So why keep acting like your the only one who knows this and the rest of us are blind to the cap can kicking?

I want to be able to retain our elite guys (like Marcus Williams) and sign better FAs or, the most +EV move, acquire vets for peanuts (imagine Jalen Ramsey playing slot for us next year or Darren Waller at TE)

Bruh

The Saints do a lot of stupid shite that drives me up the wall, but this is not one of those things.

Good player that fits what we need and the price is fine.

Pick your battles.

Even teams that aren’t in our cap situation lost elite players man. The Eagles just lost their best DT to the Niners. You can’t re-sign everyone

There is also being able to get out from bad deals early instead of having guys stick around. That's my biggest fear.

They're probably about to commit the cardinal sin of overpaying their QB after his first breakout season

I'd be real scared if I were an Eagles fan

Define “win now” we haven’t won since 2020 which coincidentally was the last year we had a franchise QB (or for that year shell of one).

People are pinning a lot of hope in this, which looks true for 2023 but can change in a second

Shall we go over the injuries last season?

My mistake I always forget the Saints are the only team that has injuries

Other teams having injuries isn’t relevant to the analysis of whether this team can win now or not
