NO reason they can't or won't draft a back. IMO they need to.
My Ponchatoula Baw Tyjae Spears would be a great fit for the Saints offense to pair with Williams. I also think Dewayne McBride from UAB will be one of the steals of the draft for whoever gets him.

This isn't even really about that. RBs are a dime a dozen and can be had super cheap. I'd have rather taken this $4M/AAV and used it to upgrade our edge or sign a higher class of DI than one of the guys we signed today. That's worth a lot more than a RB.
But it is actually you suck the life out of every fking post that there is about the Saints adding or losing a player bc of money etc. That shite is so aggravating as some people on the board are excited about adding a new player. Bc you know why its kind of great to add good players sometimes.
You know what we signed a vet rb for 8 million over basically 2-3 yrs. No shite a 4th rd rb would be great and only if they work out.
It must suck to be a fan for you bc all you worry about is cap this and cap that when we are soooo far away from being in the good. But, yea the Falcons and Panthers have all the cap space in the world. While they sign our retread players.

I mean. He rushed for 1K and 17 TDs. He’s not coming here to take over for Kamara. He’s perfectly fine if paired with another RB in the draft to hold down the fort while we wait and see if Kamara is suspended 6-8 games.

I’m all for finding and using cheap RBs but let’s be honest, Williams was probably the most durable one left. He’s played at least 14 games every season he’s been in the league.
