It’s a three-year, $28.5 million deal with $15 million guaranteed for Marcus Maye with the #Saints, per source. A big move on the same day Marcus Williams left for Baltimore.

Lazy OP.
I have no idea how good he is because I spend zero time watching the jets but apparently he is good.

Former #Jets franchised tagged S Marcus Maye is signing with the #Saints, per me and @MikeGarafolo. They get their big-ticket free agent in the secondary.

PFF doesn't like him.

What does this mean for Deshaun?

Jets LBs have been solid for us. Hope this works out just as good

Jets fans seem to be taken aback a bit by the low price.
Comments are that he is very good but injury prone. If he stays healthy according to them it’s a good deal.
Just reading their comments because I have no clue.

He’s coming off an Achilles. Without that injury he’s probably getting more than Williams

For the Saints to signal him out at a position of need so early makes me think they really like him.

Apparently he is coming off an Achilles tear so that’s not ideal.

Yeah. Sean payton leaves and we made some stupid arse moves like it's 2012 again.

Also he lied about getting a DUI and will almost certainly start the season of suspended.
Guess I know why the price is low now.

It’s essentially 5 million a year for a starting FS that was good enough to get franchise tagged once.

How's that 5mil a year? Unless the 28.5 is incentive laden.
We downgraded at fs

Guess this is the future we’re stuck with having our former DC as a HC. I’d much rather have spent that money on offense.

Let's see what Watson does. If we pull him, that's significant

You realize we just lost our starting FS who was one of the best players on our Defense right?
Was your plan just not to replace him?

Bc Fun Bunch probably skimmed it. The 28.5M is the contract so avg $9.5M. The $15M FB referenced is the guaranteed amount
