Saints settled on Moore because he was all that was left

Saint interviewed and settled on Moore as the best option because they could pay him less than other options. At the end of the day, what other viable coaches would want to come in and work for the absolute worst NFL franchise, with the worst GM in the league. Moore was only option that would take the shitty job it is to have it on his resume.
The Saints organization is the problem, and always has been.

Vince Lombardi couldn’t get this team above .333

I’m giving Moore a pass for three years. This roster is shite.

Give Moore some time.

Rattler has looked a little better this year, so if he can take below average to average, maybe he can take very good to great.

No one expected miracles. Or even consistent winning. But it doesn’t take talent to to avoid penalties (Saints are last in the NFL). They look poorly coached and Moore is a deer in headlights with no passion. People bitched last year about boring DA, but Moore is worse.

Giving him a pass for more than 3 games? Of course. But 3 years without any critique is ridiculous

Kellen Moore has made Dennis Allen look like (insert any Super Bowl winning head coach).

Yep the penalties and clock management is easy to judge. And so far its incredibly poor. It would cost you games even if the talent levels are similar

You and about 80% of this board do not have the stomach for this rebuild.

Spoiled since 2006.

Probably should sit it out for 2 or 3 years while the hard work is done then you can jump back on board like you're the best fans the Saints have ever had and talk about how you stuck with the team through the tough times while they claimed back to the top.

Has he won a game yet? The dude is terrible at placing the ball where where it needs to be thrown.

It's been so nice to not have to care if the Saints won or lost and just enjoy watching football.

Most of the people on this board have been crying and bitching for a rebuild for years and it's finally here and still the same crying and bitching. Just need to embrace the suck for a while, every single franchise goes through this.

Absolutely.

The penalties are a disaster and the decisions have been questionable, at best. Ironically, it was the ineptitude of committing a penalty that saved the Saints on a bad decision to go for 4th down in their own territory (the second 4th down). Of course, Seattle returned the ensuing punt the penalty created, so the result may have been the same. But it was a poor decision to go for 4th & 1 on your own 38 in a 7-0 game. There is being aggressive and taking chances when you feel you have a lesser team. Then there is being dumb. That was dumb.

The bar is lower for Moore than maybe any other new HC in the last 30 years (and that's saying something given the history of the franchise). The talent issues he can't do much about. But this team's issues go beyond
just a lack of talent.

It shouldn’t take this long for a total rebuild. The same people that put us in this horrible position by poor csp management and piss poor drafting are still in the house making these decisions.

This offseason showed me everything I needed to see. The roster should have been taken down to the studs.

Zero reason to spend money in free agency, why sign Reid? Why sign Cooks? I would not have given JJ that contract. They just rolled more dead money into the future for what? We not winning games this year.

Should be all rookies or guys like Blackmon on one year cheap prove it deals that have no effect on our cap added to the roster.

This front office has zero self awareness or any plan for the future.

You know nothing Townedrunkard.

I'm sure you're right. After all look at all the Lombardi's you've won.

How a phenomenal GM like yourself is out of a job is a mystery, and a travesty.

jesus. this is the hill you're dieing on? those were good moves except for maybe cooks which is really a qb issue getting him the ball. juwan is our leading receiver and top 5 producing te in the league with a below average passing offense.

Did you figure this out after looking at the last 20 years of paying the FO and coaches? You need to read it again dork.

There is absolutely no way to make an informed judgment about Moore at this point. B
