Me too. I don't think Loomis can stand the idea of us possibly getting compensatory picks next year.

Another big move coming now??

Would love to see it for somebody like Clowney or Everson Griffin but I don't think it necessarily means that. We do this every year with high priced vets after the initial wave of free agency and we always ask about a big move but we never get one. My guess is E.Sanders was our biggest move, and this was just clear space for possible in season moves where we completely suck or get hit with injuries and have to make a trade for a vet like we did last year with J.Jenkins.

Saints created 7.2 M in cap space by restructuring Janoris Jenkins.

Christopher Dunnells @ChrisDunnells

I'm not mad at creating $7 million in cap space, but I am disappointed the Saints and Jenkins couldn't agree to a long-term extension to pay Jenkins in years he's playing as opposed to simply void years. LINK

In restructuring Janoris Jenkins' contract, the Saints lowered his cap number to $4.05M by converting $9M of his pay into a signing bonus, creating $7.2M in space. Jenkins remains a free agent after this season, with the Saints adding two void years.

CB is absolutely in play in the first round this year.

Agree.

I think first round will be BPA on Defense.

3rd round I am hoping for D. Duvernay or Cephus at WR.

Yep. Me too. Watch his 2018 tape. That’s the player you have to believe you’re getting with Delpit

There just aren’t any immediate snaps for him. Ideally, I’d want the first round pick to be able to have an impact.

BPA of course, but I would think LB, G/T that could report eligible, WR, or even CB (there really isn’t a good reserve option for outside corner right now) would be more helpful selections.

It just seems like if delpit is there you have to take him for the value. When he got healthy last year he was a stud again

There are if you trade Williams, which I would do if we get Delpit. Both sides need a change of scenery imo.

If Delpit really falls in the 20’s, somebody’s getting an absolute steal. I loved watching this dude at LSU. He’s honestly better than Marcus Williams to me right now.

Marcus Williams is interesting. A lot of fans hate on him. Graded VERY strong all three years per PFF, especially years 1 and 3, FWIW.

I know some don’t care what PFF says, but there’s a BIG disconnect there.

We got a lot of big contracts to resign next year, maybe they gonna roll it over for the future?

What a stupid fricking take. Williams is a starter level NFL player and Delpit hasn't taken an NFL snap.
