It certainly seems like if defensive players are involved in a Watson deal, its more likely to be someone like Turner, Werner, Adebo etc at this point.

I still think its an OL like McCoy.

It looks like anyone who hasn’t been restructured needs to start packing haha

We need to do these moves even if we sign Winston

I mean if Watson is still not decided at what point do you tell him take it or leave it. I have a horrible feeling we can get caught with our pants down if he drags this out past today.

I was actually hoping it would be Onyemata. He's good, but we rotated undrafted free agents in his place during his suspension and they performed well.

Turner we wouldn't miss since we really haven't had him much, but who knows how soon we might need him. Cam is getting older, can't stay an ironman forever. Dav will miss a few games, and Kpassagnon was also hurt last year

Werner came on pretty good as the season went on. If we lose him then we definitely have to re-sign Kwon Alexander

Adebo I do not want to lose. He looks to be a stud.

McCoy & Ram are the 2 OL I feel we cannot lose

Would be great if the players were like M.Jenkins, A.Peat, or C.Ruiz. If we got Peat's contract off the books that would help us re-sign Armstead

Hate to break it to ya, but if you want a top 5 nfl qb via trade, you are gonna have to include something good, not just the average to below average players on your team.

While I like Onyemata a lot, I'd hesitate to call him great. I also don't want to lose him, but after missing 6 games last year and no significant drop off from him to Shy Tuttle and others that backfilled him, replacing him makes me the least worried

No, it wouldn’t. We would have $25M in dead money immediately if we trade or cut Peat.

I think we should stop assuming that restructured players won’t be traded. The team is likely preparing for a number of potential outcomes. If Houston wants DO, do we say no?

You obviously didn't watch the Saints much last season. Yes we were fine against the run without Onyemata, but Cam had one sack the first 6 games of the season then had 11.5 in the 11 games he played next to Onyemata. The team was averaging 2.5 sacks per game without him. They averaged 3 a game over a longer stretch with him. Our pass rush is exponentially better with him and we're going to need that considering we just lost Williams and possibly Adebo.

I agree, I think we are seriously considering it and wanted the meeting to kick the tires but not quite sure they go that route. Never thought I would say it but they need to run it back with Jamis if his knee is healthy.

Our pants are already down. We don't have a QB. Unless you are worried about not getting Jameis.

Since the trade parameters are already agreed upon per reports, and its just up to Watson as to where he wants to go...

The Saints wouldn't have restructured him and then trade him. That makes zero sense financially.
