Outside of lucking in to a HOF QB who went on a generational run, the Saints record with Loomis as GM is…
56-81….(40% winning percentage)
Nothing changes until he is relieved of his duties.
Is Gayle just posturing to appease the masses or is there bite behind the bark??
The worst stage to be in fandom is the Apathy stage….unfortunately, that’s where I am as a life long fan.

Most GMs don’t have a ton of success without good QBs, in fairness.
Loomis still gotta go

Who is it up to to find good QBs?

Something is off in your post. Loomis took over as GM in 2002, Brees was here from 2006 - 2020.
Loomis' record, per pro football reference, without Brees is 65 - 89 (42.2%). Don't hold 2005 against him, he is 62 - 76 (44.9%).
Doesn't change the basis of your OP, Loomis needs to move on and there needs to be a MASSIVE shakeup at the top
Should also be noted that his record is so bad, that even with Brees he has a winning percentage of 54.6% (215-179). Had him and Payton actually given Brees some defenses to play with, he may get some more grace with the additional rings that would have come with those defenses.

Are you looking at college QBs, or retreads that need a new opportunity? It starts with this group, and ends at Loomis & Moore

Loomis is terrible, but this franchise has a grand total of 1 playoff appearance when not being coached by Mora or Payton. 1 had a generational defense and the other had a generational QB. You would think the odds would be in our favor for another coach to have to put together a random good year somewhere like Haslett did but we are just a dysfunctional franchise all around.
