I got a bad feeling it's gonna be Mike Hoss.

Dude conveniently left WWL just as the job opened up and has been doing a bunch of player interviews for the Saints' website.

Probably has been dreaming of getting back into sports and/or being the next Jim Henderson.

He worked for the saints last year. He was at every home game.

Has Hoss even done PBP before? I just don’t see giving a NFL PBP position to someone with no experience doing PBP.

I would think Sean Kelly and or Joel Meyers would be the safest bets. Joel if they are looking for short term and Sean if they are looking for someone to do it for the next 20 yrs.

I hope it’s Kelly. His PBP style and wit remind me a lot of Henderson.

Is this the guy that would be down on the field and would go over highlights from previous games before kickoff? He was god aweful.. the segment was trash. When we played Atlanta at home and his segment started they showed highlights of us losing at Atlanta and made no sense.

Nope. Would be an embarrassing hire.

How does one apply for the job of a PBP guy with no tape?

When training camp starts. Don't really need to announce anything until then.

I don’t think Henderson did PBP before either. Was just a WWL tv sports reporter and their radio station hired him as pbp.

Hoss’s similar affiliation with the Saints/WWL & his availability make me think the worst could happen. I hope not.

Kelly is the driveman PICK. Great call with enough homer to him BUT professional and young enough to be the guy for the next 15 years

You may be right, but we know he came from the vaunted Syracuse school of broadcasting. He was born to do that shite!
