Saints legend Darren Sharper nearly eligible for parole

As he nears eligibility for parole in 2024, I'd be insanely interested to hear what Darren Sharper's day to day life is like.
Is he working on a degree? Studying religion? Is he staying fit? Does he have interest in following college football or the NFL, and if so - how often does he get to watch? How remorseful is he? What does he think about the Deshaun Watson situation, etc.
This is my favourite Darren Sharper moment - I was at the game with me Dorie and it was the insane comeback in Miami during our Super Bowl year. Dorie's luggage was lost on the SWA flight and Uncle Jim and Hokie were in baggage claim with us and they offered kind words of sympathy. Earlier that year, me mate Jason and I hitched a ride from our hotel in Buffalo to the stadium with the Saints Spanish radio broadcast team. So many random memories. Lots of strip clubs, lots of booze.
Darren Sharper pick 6 The late, great Will Smith congratulates DS in the end zone. If we had pulled off the SF game in the 2011 season we'd have hosted NYG in the Dome and definitely gone to (won?) a second Super Bowl. We crushed the Giants just 5 weeks earlier in the Dome.
I went to every home game plus away games in Buffalo, Philadelphia, Miami, St. Louis, and Atlanta that season and have so many good memories (some with our very own redneck and LSUneaux).
Magical year and he was my favourite player on the defense. That team was awesome.

I'll never understand how that fricking moron could spike drinks and rape chicks when he had all that fame and money and good looks.
After 2009, he could have walked anywhere in Louisiana and bitches would have been lining up but na let's take the Bill Cosby route and rape.
fricking retard

It's very similar to the Deshaun Watson situation. I'd genuinely be curious to know how it started out. Like did a college buddy turn him on to that? Did he see a teammate on the Vikings do it or something? I'm assuming that was more exciting and arousing to him than just meeting a chick, hitting it off, and bringing her home willingly.
He's paying his time and I think that type of behaviour can be overcome, but there's a story behind why he did what he did.

Quite frankly, it is not similar to Watson at all lol. Watson is a creep and weirdo for sure, but he never drugged and raped anyone.
You sound a little too interested in Sharpers practices.

Because he's a psycho. He's not operating with the same system of morals/values that you or I would.

What people do not understand about rape is that it is less about sex, and more about violently controlling someone in a way they would not agree too. Its sociopathic behavior.
Its possible that the women who Sharper drugged would have consented to having sex. What he wanted was the non-consent. The power of controlling someone without their permission. He's not looking for conversation or relationship - sharing an experience where two people fulfill each others needs - even in the short term. And paying a professional isn't exciting. Its transactional and most pros set rules and boundaries.
I have spent a lot of time in Hollywood and know stars who have fans waiting at the exit for them. Women all willing to do some crazy stuff to be picked as the "one" to go home with their idol for the night. However, they are all pretty much clinically insane and you cant stand to be around them for 10min. I could see where a egocentric narcissist personality who is addicted to taking home crazy "one night stands" transitions into a "drink this and shut the f'k up" rapist. Then gets off on the controlling another person kink.
Honestly - the world is filled with not nice selfish people. Rich and good looking

It’s all about control.
He likes being in total control. It’s addictive.
I guarantee you if he ever gets out of prison he will do it again.

Cool story
My mom is a housecleaner, has been for 30 years. She has worked for many saints players and coaches, growing up I used to go all the time to the condo and houses and sat on a counter top studying while she worked. As I got older I just ended up taking her to work and just waited for her to finish.
95% of the time, players aren't home or it's just their family at home Every now and then, I got to meet a player.
Sharper was one of the few and I will admit, in person was seemingly so kind and genuine. Always paid my mom more than what they said, always left Christmas bonuses and put the effort to know my entire family, careers, etc. When all of this occurred it caught us (as a family) off guard. He still kept the condo even post saints career and my mom had continued to work for him (his family would use the condo).
He's a scum bag. He deserves what he got and some. Goes to show, you don't understand people at all.

I always wondered if he was ever evaluated psychologically.
I remember reading an article about a guy who looked into his background and he was suing normally you find a lot of minor offenses or prior issues that got covered up, but I think he found a parking ticketZ
the guy really went from 0 to 100 in the crime department.

He had one of the greatest seasons a Safety has ever had in the history of the NFL during our 2009 Superbowl run.
71 tackles
9 interceptions
376 int return yards (NFL record)
3 TDs
15 passes deflected
but frick Darren Sharper

It crazy how Roman Harper managed to avoid any fall out from it. Those two were always out together from the warehouse district to F&ms and grits. No shot Roman didn’t know what was going on.
