I honestly don’t know way people who truly feel like this would want to keep following this team and coming to Saints talk unless it’s just the whine and act miserable

Because we’re Saints fans over NOLA. Support what is best, sell and move the team.

Coen turned down the Jags job and is staying in Tampa.

Jags also have Salah coming in hot on a 2nd interview and they just fired their GM.

The Saints can only hire someone who is aware of “The Situation”.

I really think it’ll be Brady, Kingsbury, Nagy, or someone else still in the playoffs.

In person 2nd interview with Miami DC Anthony Weaver has wrapped up.

IMO this is a sleeper candidate that could sneak in and surprise fans.

I’m ok with Weaver. He was reared with the Ravens and Harbaugh speaks highly of him. I realize that praise can be taken with a grain of salt, but that’s a model franchise for how the operate and the success is obvious.

And by this I mean sneak in because most fans seem to see him as only a minority interview to check a box. And surprise fans as in bring a solid culture change to New Orleans and really succeed when again most fans may see the hire as just a guy for a few season to get them through the cap problems then go a different direction.

I'd take Kliff at this point.

Kliff will return to Washington as well. He’s failed as a HC in Arizona with a bad team and ha not going to repeat that mistake.

The last real option before Rizzi is McCarthy. If he decides to sit out a year then Gayle has no choice. Loomis will have to take the fall and likely Rizzi will be the HC for a 3 year deal that is easy to move on from once a new GM is in place. It sucks but it’s where the team is at.

I do still think McCarthy would be a good hire though but Loomis is really damaged in this process.

Most will likely be in town for Super Bowl so who knows what’s lined up. Saints will not name HC until Super Bowl is over.

At this point this job has zero expectations after being exposed in the coaching search. There really is nothing to lose, especially for a guy like Kingsbury, whose HC legacy is shite already. But his stock can sure skyrocket if he can turn things around

A guy like McCarthy could care about his legacy. He’s 13th all time in wins and may not want to take on a shite situation

Eh. I think Loomis would give McCarthy a much longer leash than someone like Kingsbury or even Moore. He’d give McCarthy 4 years. I doubt he’d give Moore or Kliff more than a couple of years.

I think Loomis is gonna do whatever it takes to get MM now. If he settles for Rizzi and it flames out, he’s done and his legacy is tarnished. Say what you will about Mickey, but he definitely cares about how he’s perceived since he always brings up the past in his interviews
