Rizzi's won 3 out of 4. Now, he lost his starting QB. Have to give him fair shot in '25.

Rizzi should get another interim season in 2025.

This way Lady Gayle keeps saving money (spending less than other Franchises on Coaches) and Mickey doesn't need to take away any energy from righting the ship of his Old Metairie Bar!

Anything less than 9 wins gets him canned, DA went 9-8 so that the ceiling for Rizzi imo

IMO, he has earned an interview. Unless the plan is to find someone to hold the seat until they fix the cap, he needs to go through the process like every other qualified candidate.

That's ridiculous when Rizzi started at 2-7

Exactly. We owe nothing to anybody. But the team has really played hard for him, I'm pulling for him.

He will have 8 games under his belt, saying he needs to win 9 games out of 8 is asinine. Now, if you want to say he needs to be slightly better than DA, then all he needs to do is win 2 more games and he'll be 5-3 with a winning record of .625 (vs DA's .529 from last year).

If you want him to be slightly better than DA's career record with the Saints, .419; then you just need Rizzi to win 1 more game and he'll be no worse than .500

He can be part of a legitimate coaching search. But please don't settle just to keep it in house. That would be a Saints move but don't do it.

Please have a search find the right guy.

Why does this keep getting repeated like the Saints have a long history of doing this? Lomis came to the saints in 2000 with Haslett. Haslett gets fired, they go outside and bring in Payton. Payton "retires", and they stay in-house for DA. DA is fired, and they....TBD

Only other time I can see where this happened was when Dick Nolan was the LBer coach in '77, then became the HC from '78-80.

We're gonna pick pretty high and we have extra picks bc of Lattimore trade. Bc of this, I want no part of Rizzi being back. I want vrabel having big time input on these picks personally.

If this team somehow wins vs Washington, green bay, or Tampa Bay (assuming we're beating Las Vegas already) considering the ONLY weapon we have is Alvin Kamara...

I worry he's gonna be the head coach Ala Antonio pierce

I actually wouldnt mind that on a short term deal.

Its gona be a hard sell for a new coach to take on Cap Hell, a QB he most likely doesnt want, and an old roster that you cant fix for a couple of years.

I mean hey, if Ben Johnson says yes great. But i fully expect they will give Rizzi a short deal to prove his worth while cleaning up our house.

1 more win with the shite sammich Rizzi inherited and I think you give him a 5-6 year deal. Not a max salary type if it doesn’t work, but you can see the coaching skill he devised on the FG block at the end.

It's not rizzi, but I wonder if he keeps the staff if so, I think as much as Dennis Allen is an issue - some of the coaching staff are as well.

If we don't do a search and just hire Rizzi I may actually stop watching a team I've watched since I was a boy. Why put forth effort as a fan if they won't as a team?

He's getting a paycheck right now. Not one coach in the organization DESERVES anything.
