I love that I'm getting shite on for saying that I'd rather see how good the 23 y/o 2nd rd pick is before wasting money on an older washed WR. In some weird twisted way that's apparently a terrible idea.

Crazier that we spent 6th/ 7ths on 3 starters last year in Fortner/ Godchaux/ Shephered but the 6th for the 2nd rd WR in the "biggest position of need" won't sniff the field.

We are going to see that regardless of what we do

YOU clearly didn’t watch shite. Relying on the combine and AI to make your argument.

Which will cost even more money. And theres no guarantee that he finishes ahead of either Polk/ Draft.

You only do that if you have very little confidence in Polk/ Draft. We could have just kept Cooks and we didn't.

If we sign a vet minimum then thats fine and different. We do not need to spend any larger chunk of money on a WR. Even 5mil is alot towards someone that may not play much (Cooks last year).

We would have been better off keeping our pick than taking a sub 1% lottery ticket like Polk. I liked the Vele trade cause he proved he was a good NFL WR. Vele had a better game last season than Polk’s entire career put together. Doubt he even makes the team.

The one season with 33 targets and 7 games played on a 4-13 team that struggled on offense?
He had 12 catches and 2 TD. He's a 2nd rd pick who has scored on 16.6% of his receptions. Every 6 receptions was a TD.

Your comment "his entire career" is a joke. We have absolutely no clue what he can become or how good he can be with our OL + Shough.

The sample size is simply not enough. No one knows anything. I'm not trying to act like I do but to count him out at this point is insane.

I would have liked to have added someone but seeing how Romeo Doubs got paid 4 yrs for $70M idk how realistic that ever was for the Saints tbh.

I wouldn’t mind them adding someone but on a one year deal. Like Diggs or Keenan Allen on a one year would be solid and help raise the floor of the team. Maybe even Jennings if you can get him to agree to a one year

We dropped one round, didn’t give up a pick. And didn’t we get it back for trading our punter?

Lots of strawdogs in that single post. One is that you're not getting shite but disagreement. Two is that you assign people in said disagreement a desire to over pay for washed up receivers lol. Three you assign we won't let him sniff the field when all we said was compete for a job like every other player on the team.

Polk is going to get ample run at practice and preseason no matter who we add to WR. People can think he sucks but that doesn’t mean he won’t get his shot. Not sure why it’s such a contentious topic with you

These aren't separate points.

An old washed WR has less potential and a WR with more potential will cost us. That doesn't sound like spending money on additional WRs is a good plan.

Just because some see Polk as a WR6 and want a WR4 to compete doesn't mean the Saints see it that way. They may see Polk as a WR4 and want to bring in another WR5 to test him.

Everyone is assuming we value FA WR's higher than Polk at this moment and I'm not buying that.

We didn't trade for him, get rid of Cooks, and then have him and Shough hang out during the offseason only to say "frick this guy".

I haven't said he sucks. I applauded the move as it cost us nothing to get a guy that was drafted high.

I've simply said that he does not factor into our decision making process, he is a total non-factor. This dude cannot be helped with his reasoning skills

You have no evidence to confirm this. Meanwhile here's a list of reasons why that could be wrong:

1. We traded for him.
2. We got rid of the exact type of WR y'all want to acquire when we added him (Cooks).
3. We haven't signed any WR's.
4. We have only heard good things this offseason.

Those are all real factors opposing your comment. What do you have to support your claim other than a blind opinion?
