There is a very realistic expectation that Polk and our draft pick can end up our WR3/ WR4.

Based on what though? As of now it’s still just another version of fan fiction. Like Bunch said. It’s a cheap lotto ticket that doesn’t cost anything if he ends up in the rotation or if we cut him in camp. That’s what you want when you’re trying to turn over a roster.

In what universe do you think that is what is happening?

In what universe does a team have their #1 and #2 WR, plans to draft one in the 2nd round, trades for a 2nd rd WR, and "needs" WRs? That makes no sense.

Its one thing to doubt Polk but still be hopeful. Its another thing to completely count him out and assume we need another WR while adding one in the draft.

You are saying Polk is unplayable.

If you aren't saying he's unplayable then you are saying we need a 5th WR who won't play and will actually end up our 8th target after TE's/ RB.

Do we?

Olave is entering the last year of his deal and has SERIOUS injury concerns

Calling Vele "having" your 2nd WR is a major stretch

The draft has not happened, so we don't have a plan to draft one early yet until it happens

That his own team gave up for nothing immediately.

Yes.

Take a step back. See the forest through the trees.

That is exactly what any team in the entire league would do.

Oh sweet thanks for confirming everything I just said.

We don't have a problem with our WR's. Fans just don't actually think Vele/ Polk can be serious players.

Unfortunately for y'all we spent assets trading for those guys and Shough has talked highly of them. So tough shite but they will be playing.

Last year Allen only wanted to play for either LA team or the Bears

That was last year, now he's seen the stud we have in Shough, and pared with Moore should be a no brainer

But seriously, I wonder how much a player's opinion changes from year-to-year after seeing the landscape around the league.

Certainly could change. What is Allen chasing? Ring, money, stats? I know he has 5-6 kids, it may just mean more to not totally uproot his family or to be that far from family

I see (2) WR's that have not played a snap with Tyler Shough and are expected to contribute next year. Polk/ Draft.

Why bring in another WR to take minutes from those guys? You have to give them minutes. You have to see what they are capable of.

We don't need extra WR's. We need to see how good Polk/ draft will be. Then we can talk about "needing WRs".

You don't just plan on adding 3 WRs and then replace them before they play. Vele/ Polk_ and whoever we draft will have less than half a season with Shough. Y'all are not making any sense.

You earn your minutes in the off season and in camp. More competition at all positions not less.

You have to see what you have with Polk/ Vele/ Draft until you spend money or bring in some old vet who takes minutes. This is not a complicated situation at all.

You see what assets you have and then upgrade. Its not my fault that half of y'all choose to ignore the assest we have already acquired.

You have to let Vele/Draft pick earn their minutes. If they beat out veterans that is great.

Polk doesn't factor in at all.

If he actually is great in offseason and camp and takes a spot, then great. You cut someone else. He doesn't factor into any decision making process whatsoever this offseason

If they wait to see how the drafties perform we will lose many FA WRs to other teams. If there is a guy they see a roll for sign him. They will shuffle the deck later greatful to have more options not less which is where we are at today.

But we were told yesterday that IDL & LBer were the worst, followed by a 3-way tie with QB, WR & TE

It’s unfair to lump Vele with Polk. I think Vele proved he can crack a WR rotation as long as he’s healthy. Ideally he’s your WR3
