Yeah, I don't care. If someone thinks Polk factors into our decision making they are stupid. He does not.
That is very different than hoping it fails.
I think it was a great move by Loomis. The kind of smart, shrewd moves he avoided making for years and now seems to be doing. It was really smart.
I hope he becomes the best WR in the league.
But its still a lotto pick

It’s unfair to lump Vele with Polk. I think Vele proved he can crack a WR rotation as long as he’s healthy. Ideally he’s your WR3
I agree here, he had good chemistry with Shough too. But he has a very small sample size and didn't stay healthy.

Branch wasn't even that great at UGA

Slot explosive speedy receiver and punt/kick returner.
811 receiving yards
plus 2 return td's and runs a 4.3... ok guy

Branch is a better player than UGA showed. 5star wr out of HS.
UGA system hasnt been the greatest to highlight WRs in years.

If he actually is great in offseason and camp and takes a spot, then great. You cut someone else. He doesn't factor into any decision making process whatsoever this offseason
Yeah I agree. I guess my issue is that we have only heard good things so far and no one actually wants to give him a chance. Already writing him off and saying we can do better.
We will not know unless he plays. You will have 4 WR's that have to get minutes and now 2 TE's. There is no need to spend money on a 7th target.
If Vele/ Polk/ Draft don't work out then sure.
We bitched about wasting 5mil on Brandin Cooks and we will now have MORE options and y'all want to waste money on a WR.

Back to DE for a second. With Chaisson getting $12.5 million for one year and Heyward getting 1 year $18mm, that probably sets the market on Cam right?
Heyward is the ceiling he won’t reach, he played 80% vs 50% of the snaps for Cam and had about 30 more tackles. Heyward had 6.5 less sacks
Chaisson had 7.5 vs 10.5 sacks
I would think Cam would sign for $12 million too

i'm done giving cam money until possibly after the draft. no point in the possibility of drafting bain or bailey or even a 2nd round rusher and still paying cam unnecessarily if we have slots filled up.

I think Polk is trash and waste of a swing. Christian Kirk would be a good addition in a team friendly contract.

Bain sucks and Bailey will be gone though. Can't count on a 2nd round edge

These are Jaylynn Polk's stats:
12 Receptions
87 yards
2 TDs.
In his entire career so far. And we have a guy in here saying we have to count on him in our decision making.

Vele has already worked out and looks good as a 3 or 4. Your minutes are found in camp and preseason. We don't take 8 wrs into week one to figure out minutes. There is no one taking away minutes from Polk he must earn them no matter how many vets we sign today or tomorrow.

Its literally the worst position on the team
It’s also the only position we have an all pro at.
Bills have been running scrubs at receiver. Cooks could barely get on the field here but became a major part of their offense once he joined them.
Olave is our #1 and Vele probably our #3. Just add a draft pick or pick up Mooney who’s been a #2 the last few years.

If Polk is shining in camp he will win a spot, no matter what we do.
The only two roster locks at WR we have right now are Olave and Vele.
That is anywhere from 3-4 spots up for grabs.

Dan talks like Polks agent. "Yall don't need a bunch of new receivers you have Polk".
