I hate debates like this. There is nothing to say that Cromartie would have had near the amount of success here as he did in SD, its a completely different defense...and that's just an example. This has alot more to do with scheme, system and development by coaches rather than just plugging a guy in and assuming he'd equal, excede, or underwhelm from team A to team B.

Reggie moved the chains ALOT in our division winning/NFC title game season and was leading the NFL in TD's last year before he got hurt. I think our O line's piss poor ability to run block has alot to do with Reggie's relatively ineffectiveness at times as a pure RB.

i think this year will be a BIG year for Reggie and I also think Tracey Porter will be great in GWs system(has anyone seen a pic of him lately, he has bulked up big time).

I'd trade him for Laron Landry-type safety in a heartbeat.

No. he brought a lot of interest to the team brought in new fans that could start to support them with the passion that we have been showing for years. Also, 2006 probably would not have happened without him.

The problem is on defense.
+1, how could you regret drafting someone that helped the #1 offense in the league become the #1 offense in the NFL.

At the time, there is no one in their right mind who would not have taken Reggie Bush, and pretty much anyone who says they wouldn't have is a liar.

If the Saints use him correctly as they did in the NFC Champ year then he is explosive.

3.6 ypc and 8.4 ypr is explosive?

He will be great next year and suprise all those retards who say he is a bust.

this is his theme. this was said after 2006 and 2007

he hasn't really improved since 2006, unless you call 0.1 ypc increase a year improvement

the saints wouldn't be selling any more tickets without reggie but with more wins...and the sponsorship money wouldn't be more plentiful either

I didn't read the thread. Draft hindsight is 20-20. The only ones who can bitch about a pick is if you were bitching about it when it was made. What's the percentage on that with Reggie? Yeah, yeah, you saw it coming.

using the #2 pick on a complementary RB and a punt returner is a tough pill to swallow

I've made no bones about hating Reggie. Only in Saint fan's dreamland did he have a good season at RB at any point last year.

The football gods kicked us in the nuts once again that year. It should have been a no brainer and we get Mario and Houston gets Reggie but no...

Only a delusional fan can keep saying Reggie is a RB. I don't care abou ypc, just hit the hole and stop the east west madness. Not to mention it's all about him and I don't see him ever giving it up for the team.
