Maybe they get a young unproven guy that can do more with less but the front office screwed the team with dead cap.

Yes

Dead cap
Aging roster
No QB

This didn’t happen overnight

It was coming for several years

That’s why Sean Payton quit

He knew what was coming

And he was part of the problem

Belichick was a coordinator when Kraft hired him.

Nope. He was actually the head coach of the New York Jets. Parcells was the Jets GM & hired Belichick. Just days after the hiring, Kraft informed Belichick that he wanted to hire him for the Patriots opening. Belichick had to talk Parcells into letting him out of his just signed contract. The incident caused the relationship between Parcells & Parcells to sour for a couple of years before they made up.

Look at both the Saints and Pels organizations. They’re both bottom tier level in their leagues. It’s begins with ownership.

If it's ownership, explain the Jacksonville Jaguars. That's a bottom tier franchise and always will be.

Not many or none would keep them in NOLA for obvious reasons. My fandom travels with the Saints and is not conditional on playing in NOLA.

This might be the shittiest take I’ve ever read on this board. frick that.

The Saints are New Orleans. If someone buys the team and moves it, it will be catastrophic for the city and region far beyond my “fandom”.

Get out of here with that shite.

If they don't get JD, they would still be mediocre.

Gotta go with this answer. IF you have a QB, you have a chance and WASH arguably now has one of the best in the NFC. Look around at the rosters in the NFC and you woudl be hard-presses to select some other QB over JD5 IRT what he did this year and the potential (and his contract) for the coming years. WASH struck gold with this pick, hopefully they don't muck it up....

JD covered a bunch of weaknesses on that team. Kept the defense off the field with long drives. Their oline is dog shite but he has wheels to cover it up. Our dline dominated them our game. Only time that’s happened this year.

They signed a bunch of over the hill vets and got some juice out of them. I’d say before the season, any expert would take the Saints roster before theirs excluding the qb.

There was a reason they were picking 2nd in the draft.,

If the Saints get a new owner, it likely means a relocation.

I’m not so sure about that.

Tom Benson and the NFL used that threat against us.

(San Antonio/Birmingham) Really?

I think the NFL has run out of viable cities in the USA

Hence playing games in Mexico and Europe
