Jim Finks and new owner Tom Benson jump started Saints turn around. We now have Lasaucha and Loomis in stagnation mode not wanting to bail on a sinking ship.

They’re winning because Daniels is incredible. Has jack shite to do with the owner. This “let’s fire the owner” trend is so lame. Kraft was an incredible owner until his HOF qb left. Same for the Maras in New York. They haven’t done shite since Eli left his prime.

Great QBs don't grow on trees. This is JD first year. Unless he wins the SB, temper your expectations. Burrow went to the SB and look at his team now. Cincinnati is like Detroit. Not winning a SB.

Ownership changed the culture dude. No way Snyder would've drafted JD.

The qbs that win have the ability to take a 1st and 10 and reduce it to a true 1st and 8. They all have the presence to get a 1st down on 4th and 2 almost 85% of the time. Once you do that then your ability to averegr 2.6 to 3 yards a play goes up.

To be fair - Washington did an exceptional job this offseason handling their rookie superstar QB. Went out and picked up a veteran RB (Eckler), veteran TE (Ertz), and veteran backup QB (Mariota), along with upgrading 2 OL spots (C and RG). They also signed a couple of veteran pass rushers and traded for Lattimore during the season. None of those were big splashy moves that broke the bank but they all added a veteran presence in positions of need and were able to help their rookie QB. They are also looking at just under 100million of cap space this offseason - which is the second most in the NFL.

Gayle is just doing nothing.

Snyder was affirmatively interfering and making things worse.

Belichick was a coordinator when Kraft hired him. How many billionaires are out there that have an interest in buying the Saints and keeping them in New Orleans? Or would be worth a shite as an owner? Please explain

I hope you’re not expecting an answer, much less an intelligent one. You will definitely be disappointed.

This is so ridiculously stupid. Exactly why would Snyder not have drafted Daniels?

Washington whiffed on the draft the majority of the time Snyder owned the team. All I'm saying is that during his tenure, it seemed like they couldn't address needs. Isn't that what the draft is all about? As far as ownership, it definitely makes a difference. Remember when the Glazers bought the Bucs from Culverhouse? They only improved by one game in the win column, BUT they changed the culture of the franchise by drafting good players and getting the right coach. Snyder ran that once proud franchise into the ground. So don't tell me ownership doesn't matter.

QB a game changer

Yep. Gotta have one who is a game changer, OR an avg/slightly abv average one surrounded with OFF firepower & OL (i.e. Hurts in Philly).

Stop dumbass. Williams was always expected to go number one (rightly or wrongly). And Daniels was the clear number two. As crappy as Snyder was, it’s bs to claim the Skins wouldn’t have drafted Daniels if Snyder was still the owner. There was no other choice.

Ok

I’ll ignore the adhominem

Explain the Raiders drafting Jemarcus Russell #1 overall

The Chargers drafting Ryan Leaf

The Saints not trading up one spot for Mahomes

I could go on and on and on and on

Saints are garbage for 3-5 years just due to their cap restrictions. No legitimate coach will come in to guaranteed losing seasons and have their reps tarnished.

Maybe they get a young unproven guy that can do more with less but the front office screwed the team with dead cap.
