SEC refs called the LSU-Alabama game fairly after LSU fans put up billboards in Birmingham.
They (the refs / conference) struck back big-time when LSU played Texas A&M with the most biased officiating I've ever witnessed at any level. They were determined to prevent LSU from winning the game, and they did.

OK , two can play this conspiracy game.
With ratings down last year. I believe Roger Goodell is going to use his influence to try and get the team that represents the #2 TV market in the U.S. , into the the Super Bowl. Thus driving up up the cost of commercials for the game.
