Good way to piss off the officials, and hopefully Goodell

Hopefully this doesn’t put a spotlight on refs hoping to not validate these claims, causing them to call against us

I'm not a fan of bitching about refs after a game, but bitching about them before is some next level stupidity.

As of 9:30 am CST, the petition has more than 1,000 signatures.

So a signature from each of their season ticket holders. Nice job guys.

Think about it though, if you are one of these refs, now you’re gonna have that in mind and wanna make sure not to validate these claims.

Pretty smart on their part. Worth it if it influences even 1 call this game that woulda went uncalled or called differently.

You could just as easily make the case that this is a personal attack on the ref's integrity (it is) and say that the refs will call every single ticky-tack penalty possible on the Rams out of spite. That's exactly what I would do. If they want to make the case that they are unfairly penalized, then they damn well better play PERFECTLY clean, or that laundry will be flying all day.

I’ve been on the sidelines for many a football games (admitted not NFL) and have heard refs respond to the constant bitching with, “Ok, you want me to call it down the line? I will!” than proceed to call everything that is remotely a penalty on the team doing all the bitching

Makes sense. It would seem wise to be judicious when pointing out referee mistakes. Try to be constructive rather than call them idiots, as difficult as that surely is in the heat of the moment

Can we start a petition to void the rams petition and send it to the refs and Roger?

Can't hurt

This is a strategy to justify having the refs frick us.

Even if you win more games with certain refs, it doesn't mean that the refs favored you. You may have outplayed bad calls.

You need to go back and break down the actual total penalties called and yards assessed per game and not necessarily your winning percentage.

The petition also hints that the NFL is biased in favor of the Saints, preferring that Drew Brees play in the Super Bowl game in the hope of engineering a media narrative around the story.

Yeah, that definitely seems like what their motivation would be - not to get the team from the second largest market in the country into their premier event.
