Gone too soon

Only thing left for Ram to do is give it a shot with another team and then almost die from a staph infection like those other 2.

The only major examples I can think of are both the Lions. They made Barry Sanders AND Calvin Johnson repay some bonus money, IIRC.

It's a PR disaster for a team

This FO keeps getting signs it’s time to stop the can kicking but Mickey and co. will continue

Underhill will come out with an article soon showing there’s a way to kick this dead money into 2029

Can't believe people are downvoting this. Look at this retarded thing.

Ram needs to take his guaranteed money and retire
Don’t want lingering knee issues starting at 29 bothering him for the rest of his life

If I was Ram I'd def stay on the roster and "try" to play but it just hurts too darn much. Get paid $15MM a year to hang out with the team and get therapy and treatment sounds amazing.

Thanks, Mick!

Injury prone in a blink of an eye

I think we were aware that he would have problems later in his career. Shame his golden era was wasted

It really is a shame Ramcyzk’s body gave out on him because he was the best RT in the league for about 3 seasons. I doubt we ever see him play in a Saints uniform again and he will retire after the season. His knee is in really bad shape. I’ve got a friend back home in Louisiana I went to high school with that is now a prominent orthopedic doctor and he said there’s no managing his injury, basically it’s over for Ram unless he wants to play bone on bone but he would not be able to move in that case. His career unfortunately has come to an end.

Wish the Saints drafted Dawand Jones instead of that RB we took in the third. Jones has been a beast for Cleveland.

I actually think RT is the perfect spot for Penning. I would have him working there from now on.

If he retires, I think that relives us of having to restructure him or ask him for a pay cut.

And if DA comes back, that all be ensures our OL will be absolute trash and we’ll get Carr killed

Relieves us? Restructuring him is our game plan

He has about $33M in dead cap from prior bonus money waiting to hit on the 2024 (and likely 2025) salary caps.

Bentley and Nicks would have played for years and Nicks likely in HOF if he stayed with the saints. He got staph in the Bucs locker room.

I’d try left guard first.
