He had 4 running and and 7 receiving according to ProFootball Focus. That's an incredible game, especially for the number of touches he had.

Brees last night:

“I remember when Pierre came in the first year in 2007, undrafted free agent out of Illinois. He was probably fifth or sixth on the depth chart. I wasn’t sure if he was going to make the team. If he did, he was going to have to make it on special teams. He played so well in the preseason, we had to keep him. We had no choice. He started off on special teams until the last game of the ’07 season and got his first start against the Chicago Bears and got his first start because we had four or five running backs hurt and he rushes for over 100 and has over 100 receiving. That paints the picture of Pierre Thomas. He’s taken advantage of every opportunity he’s been given. Nothing’s ever been handed to him. He’s earned it. I’ve never played with a guy who’s tougher, smarter, more versatile, just everything you’d want in a teammate. He’s been a huge part of that backfield for the last five years. I’ve seen him play some great games, but tonight might have been one of the best I’ve seen him play. Rarely do I get a chance to sit back and watch because I’m always thinking about the next play, the next series, the next situation whatever it may be. You can’t help but notice the way he ran tonight, shedding tacklers, it was phenomenal.

I was talking to my friend earlier today, and he wouldn't shut up about Thomas. He's a Redskins fan. I would point to other aspects of the game, but he would always bring it back to Thomas.

He was solely responsible for a few converted 1st downs last night. He takes a small gain and turns it in 10 or more yards like it's nothing.

I'm glad that Payton split the carries all year so that our running backs are fresh.

Most under utilized talent on this team. This cat can do it all. Pass block ,make things happen out in space,an elusive yet powerfull runner that always falls forward. I remember after the 2007 season he made a point of packing on about 15 lbs. of muscle in the offseason to take over Deuces roll. We better hold on to him like grim death. Like Brees said he does nothing but whatever you ask of him.

pt is the man. dude has unbelievable balance and power. also a great receiving back and virtually never makes mistakes like dropping passes or fumbling.

To say he was phenomenal is an understatement. He was on a completely different level last night. Easily his best game as a Saint (and he has had numerous great games)

To me, he's the best in the league on screens.

He and Ivory have been running super hard the last couple of weeks. Great timing for the playoffs.

It's going to be a wonderful three man rotation of Ivory, PT and Sproles for years to come.

as pointed out, they are all have fresh legs. That's the benefit of having 4 strong backs. None are worn out at all. Ingram not ROY but his role is part of what made that possible.

This is a must with PT23 also. The most carries he ever had was 152 in 2004 (Ill) & 147 in 2009 (NFL). He's a great component but not cut out to be a bell cow.

He has been our best screen back for years now

When he is healthy and our screens are working, it makes the offense almost impossible to stop with that dimension

There is no better screen RB in the NFL today.
