Aaron Brooks beat the Rams and won us our first playoff game. I’ll always have a special place for AB.

It’s crazy to think how deadly he would be with his skill set and a coach that can open up a playbook. His demise was when Haslett & Sheppard forced him to try and become a pocket passer. Always wondered what Brooks would have done McCarthy became HC

Mike McCarthy was Aaron Brooks downfall,he said we are gonna keep him in the pocket and be a pocket passer. Instead of using his skill set to build off of..McCarthy was the OC,it was his offense they were running. When McCarthy went to Greenbay he learned from his mistakes with Brooks and corrected it with Rogers..

Man I used to love those Pro Bowl challenges

Dudes legit cared about being named the fastest guy in the league or the strongest.

Larry Allen made other all pro linemen look like small children

I dunno. I think Brooks issue was was he couldn’t handle success. He’d go out 1 week, and put up stupid numbers and get NFC player of the week, then completely shite the bed the next week.

And it happened a couple times every season. He rarely strung together impressive performances.

That was my issue with him. Great talent, but you never knew which Brooks was going to show up. Imagine Brees Brain/Accuracy with Brooks Body.

I'll never forgive AB laughing it up on the sidelines after he threw a pick but I always knew he was a dummy. If the Saints make the mistake of making Jameis the starter, prepare for a return to the Brooks days. Just because you can sling a ball doesn't do much good if you're an idiot. They should have went back to Blake in hindsight because he had the brains to play QB. Now they're about to make the same mistake again.

If they went back to blake, we may have never gotten Brees. Blake may have done just enough for Haslett to keep his job and we wouldn't have Payton, Brees and a pretty successful franchise.

Aaron Brooks year in 2003 was legit. He lead the league with lowest interception percentage. 24td to 8 ints.

I did too. That was back when the Pro Bowl at least felt like the players cared about it. Which made it watchable in some form. The challenges were the best part though

His best play was the 6-second scramble and TD pass in SF in like 2001. Wish it was easier to find tape of that play
