Trevor Penning has a Lisfranc injury and he’ll have surgery. Another tough break for the rookie.

That is a major injury. It is the load barring part of the foot.

That's TERRIBLE news for someone so big. Early in the year I was really excited about his athleticism and potential but after Thomas I can't help but think "not again" about him.... was he even playing lately? How'd he get hurt

I don’t see Penning playing near as much as Peat. It’s a bust.

he got his 1st career start yesterday b/c Throckmorton went down with injury during pregame warm-ups

that was a big problem yesterday... Mike & Deuce said the team normally has 8 OL up on gameday... but started the game with 6 after Throckmorton's injury and then I think Penning went down early in the 2nd half putting the team down to just 5 OL

which led to plays like a CAR DE throwing Trautman 20 yards downfield and getting to Dalton for a sack

It sucks but if you're going to have an injury like this at least he'll have the entire off season to recover and be ready for camp. I expect him to be starting at LT next year and he's a massive human being.

Linsfranc isn't the death sentence it used to be. Taysom had the exact same injury at the end of last year and I thought he might be done. Instead he looked as good as ever.

Hope Penning got all his bad "breaks" out the way his rookie year.

Yes, a rookie year where he barely played due to injury makes him a bust.

Some of you are legit stupid

Great. Another injury-prone player.

Strength/conditioning and medical staffs need to be overhauled immediately.

I thought he looked good yesterday. We were running behind him early with lots of success. And he held his own in pass protection. He was shaky his first couple games back. Sucks this will hurt his off-season and put him behind.

Trade him while he still has any value. Trade everyone with value. frick it. Rebuild and give Allen 0 to work with. frick'em. Any excuse to fire him after next season while you're in rebuild mode.

What is it with the saints and their bad feet? Taysom, MThomas, Deontay Hardy, and now Penning.

If we do not replace our crappy dome turf then we are truly friggin idiots. The number of injuries while playing on our home turf is unreal!
