Payton was 7-1 without Brees the last two years. With Bridgewater and Hill. We are fine

Saints will still be the best team in the division if they come back with everyone but Brees which is possible.
Start Winston and keep Hill as the gadget player
Harris and Sanders are going to thrive with a QB that can throw it 60 yards.

Imma be honest with you chief, this is flat out incorrect
We will have to cut multiple NOTABLE players just to get under the cap and be compliant at all (at minimum Kwon, CB Jenkins, Malcolm Brown, Latavius) and we will have to let countless more walk in FA. We have 21 FAs, including Hendrickson, Rankins, Cook, Anzalone, Marcus Williams, PJ, Gray, Hardee, Swearinger, Montgomery, Jameis.... and there’s more.
Not to mention we are going to continue to lose coaches and valuable front office personnel.
This team is gonna look a LOT different next year, QB aside, because they have no choice.
That said, I agree with the sentiment. We will take a few years to fix the cap (less urgency will let us make smarter long-term decisions) and continue to draft well, develop the coaches and FO, work on developing young talent and figuring out who our QB is, compete for the playoffs (but not titles) if we can and we can maybe be ready again in 3-5 seasons.

CSP is the right guy to guide the rebuild for sure, but we aren’t going to be able to keep this squad intact.

Extend Ram and Lattimore - Save 19 mil
Restructure Armstead, Jordan, Davis, Peat, Thomas, and Kamara and save 40 mil.
Cut Alexander, Cook, and Brees (post June 1st to spread cap hit) and save another 30 mil
Would still need to sign Winston which could be done with more moves.
