Trey Hendrickson 2023: 34 tackles, 14 TFL, 13.5 sacks, 2 FF, 3 PD. Been to the Pro Bowl every year since he left.

Digest this, Since Trey left for Bengals in 2021, he's amassed 35.5 sacks while missing 3 games by himself.

The entire saints defensive end position during this time of all games have amassed 48.5 sacks.

Huge mistake. You never let a guy who has shown he can get sacks in NFL games through a whole season getaway and often injured potential sack guy. Its why NFL DEs are always paid a premium.

The only reason they kept Davenport was a pure, unadulterated inability to admit they fricked up. Rather than keep a guy who was a proven sack machine, they kept a lesser player who was injury prone. Pathetic.

Could've had Greg Rousseau instead. He's excellent against the run, has 17 career sacks (getting better each year), and has missed a total of 3 games in 3 years.

I am just convinced this team can't evaluate college talent at DE. I understand Davenport had huge upside and looked absolutely dominant the few games he actually played. Turner had the build and measurables, but played at a small school. I was actually excited when they drafted Foskey, who was productive at Notre Dame, and didn't have the huge build that we always go for. Sadly, he sucks as well.

@Kat_Terrell
Payton Turner said the turf toe was about as bad as it gets. Said he dislocated two toes

Seems like he's about to be designated to return from IR

He's on today's injury report as a return to practice from IR and is still out for this Sunday... but he's now close to a return

Looks like Cam Jordan’s stats this year

Turner may be your best DE if he’s healthy. Shows how bad our DL is
