1.) I think that’s the first time I’ve seen a team get that many takeaways and come away with zero points. That’s the worst I’ve ever seen, and the Saints deserved the loss because of it.

2.) Also, take the damn points when easy field goals are available to you. Time and time again it bites teams in the arse when they pass on field goals, and it almost always results in a loss.

3.) Trevor Penning sucks. He’s our worst lineman, and he commits personal fouls at bad times because of his temper and emotional instability. We need to draft another tackle next year.

To be fair, we scored our only TD on the drive that Penning committed that idiotic penalty. He still is arse but so is Ruiz. McCoy hides how crappy Ruiz is and once he was out, it killed the offense. I’m still wondering why we were in man on 3rd and 16 when they needed a damn TD to win and we couldn’t cover an average Goedert all day.

Today showed how “top heavy” the Saints are offensively. They have absolutely no depth and simply cannot overcome injuries to starters. Hill being out was already big. But when McCoy went out the offense was effectively shut down. The starting OL is already, at best, average. The backups are awful.

When you combine that with a QB who has always been terrible against pressure there is very little an OC can do.

No NFL team can withstand a ton of key injuries. The Saints are in a worse spot than most because the drop off from starter to backup is extreme

Trevor penning wasn’t bad today. The interior o line was. That penalty was dumb but we scored anyways so it was all good.

Taysom is key to our success running this offense. Also, we have no oline depth

No, it’s not all good. Why do people always miss the forest for the trees?

9 times out of 10 a stupid arse penalty like that hurts your team. You just can’t have it. That kind of stuff can’t happen on teams who want to have sustained success. It’s a 100% percent self-inflicted wound that’s easily avoidable, and it will usually really hurt the team.

Regardless of how pathetic our offense was for 90% of the game and the ridiculous big plays the defense gave up, the difference of a win or loss came down to the fact the coaching staff refused to use our kicker on a 4th down near the red zone and on the point after our touchdown. 4 points to take and the game ends 16-15 on a successful recovery of an eagles onside kick with 0:48 seconds left.

If Taysom is the key we are in big trouble. His physical style of play is going to have him miss games at times. It’s always been that way.

Nonsense. We lost the QB of our offensive line, which put 2 lineman out of position. When this happened we could no longer run screens, call proper protections, or run consistently. The team lacks depth on the offensive line. Simple as that. Also the loss of Hill can't be understated. Not only does he keep defenses on their heels, he is one hell of a personal protector for Carr.

I mean, the defense was on the field most of the game...they were winded at the end. I wouldn't put all the blame on them. I blame offensive injuries and lack of depth.

Did the refs give the saints a break on that penalty? I thought the flag flew before the sideline incident and thought is was for Penning holding. By calling it a dead ball foul the first down still stood.

The defense played pretty damn good considering missing Hill completely changed the offense, which led to a piss poor performance on the offensive side. People can talk shite about Sean all they want but he knew what he had in Hill. Outside of a star QB one player missing shouldn’t impact a so-called great offense as much as it did the Saints today.

We're a top 10 defense easy. Only allowing an average of about 14 points. The offense has to do better when we get injured. I know it's not easy but Kubiak is going to have to open the playbook when it gets tough.

You must not have watched closely……..Udo was fricking HORRENDOUS. Penning had a stupid penalty (no doubt) but the interior was a bigger issue today

It was a dead ball foul, but it was a 15 yard penalty.

Your 10s of millions starting QB had 62 YDS passing after giving up a sack and gifted 5 TOs on downs till under 11 min 4th QTR.

Not his fault?

No responsibility?

Cmon man, when your paying people to lift you up, their job... 62 after 5 TOs?

That’s the main freaking issue. Interception, fumble, TWO turnovers on downs, and a damn blocked punt and all they come away with is 12 points? I’ll keep saying it over and over because it’s true, without Hill, Carr isn’t the same, nor is the offense. I don’t think that could be any clearer after today, but it doesn’t have to be that way. As important as Hill is, this offense still has weapons and the play calling can’t be hamstrung because one player isn’t available.

This. The front office not taking the steps to offload these over priced aging vets and replace them with quality young talent is the reason the Saints lost today. If McCoy doesnt go down early the running game likely doesn’t stall, and Carr gets better protection on pass plays. But, it’s just one loss to a non division opponent. Hardly the time to start hitting the panic button.
