i say trade as well. 30 plus for a wr often injured and doesn't impact a game like other top wrs isn't smart.

Now y'all are blaming Olave for our rebuild, shitty QB play, and terrible OL/ DL. Its not his fault that he isn't in a position to "impact a game" or play in meaningful minutes.

He's had 1,000yd seasons in every healthy year he's played which is nearly an elite stat. Dude could have 2,000 yds on a 2-15 team and its his fault for not impacting the game with QB's that don't sniff the Top 20 and a shitty roster...

7th in yards
6th in TD's
6th in separation rate.

If that's a dumb WR who doesn't impact the game then I can only imagine there's maybe 1-2 WR's in the history of the NFL that fit these standards.

What are we talking about? Y'all want to talk about injury concerns ok. If you are questioning his abilities or skill when healthy then that's a true garbage arse take that makes absolutely no sense.

often injured

Been in the league for 4 years, which would be 68 games. He's played in 55, which is roughly 81% of possible games. In 2024, he had a string of injuries/concussions that took him out of 9 games (8 of that 9 was for his 3rd concussion that year). Which means that outside of 2024, he has played in 47 of 51 possible games.

He has a concerning injury history due to the concussions (10 games missed) and blood clout (1 game), but I don't think "often injured" is something that fits him.

In no specific order here is a Top 8: Then I have Olave #9. Some of the guys #10-#15 are close to Olave but Olave actually finished with Top 6 WR stats like the Top 8 group and not the #10-#15 group.

JSN
Puka
Jefferson
Chase
Pickens
CeeDee Lamb
Amon St Brown
AJ Brown

Olave

G Wilson
DK
Nico Collins
Waddle
D Adams
Tet
DeVonta
J Williams

Choosing #10+ > Olave is purely preference. He is statistically above all of those guys and right where he should be..

If you don't like him or don't want to pay him then that's fair. If you act like he isn't a good or valuable WR when healthy then you are either ignorantly in denial or straight up full of shite.

DK
D Adams

Surprised neither one of these 2 have ever finished in the Top 6 WRs. Not disputing you at all, just surprising to see this. Also, you have D Adams twice.

Of the 17 other WRs listed, and idea how many have ever been on the AP 1st or 2nd teams? I may look it up later when I have some extra time, was just curious if you knew.

Fixed it. D Adams did finish #1 in TD's last year but didn't sniff the top 25 in yds and Juwan Johnson had 100 more yards than him. I meant for last year and not ever. Last year Olave was a Top 6 WR grouped with the Top 8 WR's. Even if he's a step behind them he's still a close #9-#10 and now has a real QB/ team.

I follow you now.

The fact that Olave made the 2nd team All-Pro team last year shows he was at a minimum a top 7 WR last year. And that was with 8 games of Rattler.

For those that don’t want to look. Puka, JSN & Chase were 1st team. Amon, Nick, Pickens & Olave were 2nd team

Add in Jefferson, CeeDee & AJ puts him in top 10 company. Now it’s a matter of positioning

So little trade value and let him walk. Sounds great I'm sure Tyler will love having a room full of rookies to throw to. Philly would be pleased to grab Olave lol

He’s under contract this year. If he plays great and you are skittish about paying him long term. Can franchise him at least two years before his salary gets totally ridiculous that third year under the franchise tag.

By then Tyson and the other young receivers will be going into their 4th year, far from being rookies…

Try to franchise him two years and chances are you won't like the results.

We threw good money at
an injured WR before in Thomas. We need to learn from that mistake.

Then why did he try to come back in 2023? He could have kept milking the situation and took the Ramczyk approach of sitting on IR before finally retiring.

All stats aren’t created equal. Olave saw 156 targets and compiled a lot of empty stats. He was 90th in the league in yard per target

Like Zay Flowers had more yards than Olave on 40 less targets. A guy like Nico Collins’ blows Olave’s numbers out the water on a per game. Jameson Williams does a ton on less volume. Looking at volume stats for a guy who had the 5th most WRs is a mistake. To celebrate his numbers as top 10 or 5 is silly. You should be wanted more when you see that kind of volume
