We need someone who isn’t afraid to pull the trigger on an LSU guy when it makes sense but at the very least maybe we can eventually move on from this OSU fetish

Neither do I but Glenn has been with Campbell enough to have hopefully inherited that aggressive, risk taking style that a lot of defensive pussies like Allen don’t have.

Agree with Fun Bunch on Flores. Too much baggage. I like Vrabel. Reminds my of Campbell. Ex player, tough, not a push over. Hopefully learned from his mistakes in Tennessee.
Dallas would be a prime job. But if I were a coach Jerry’s constant presence would be a huge turn off.

It has to be Vrabel or Aaron Glen. They would bring the right culture back. Personally would rather Vrabel for the CEO type head coach and just bring in Salah or someone to focus on the defense.

I also don’t love giving a 52 year old coach his first crack at a job.
I don’t think he’s a terrible coach but not what we need right now.

I could get on board with this.

My preference is a young up and coming guy on the Offensive side of the football.
But I can see the Saints wanting someone established and "tough" for a rebuild.

Ben Johnson is the correct choice. Could conceivably turn Carr serviceable as well. He's done a great job with Goff.
Not trying to be a dick but this shouldn’t be a consideration at all. A competent coach should consider Carr as nothing more than a stopgap until we can draft a replacement.

Add Kevin Stefanski to the list, assuming he gets canned by Cleveland this offseason.

We need a culture change, and while I agree that I'd prefer an offensive minded coach, defensive guys can build culture quicker it seems.
I also don't think our next headcoach is going to turn us into a Superbowl team. We may be 5 years away from a full rebuild due to cap space, veteran deals, and draft capital. I don't see a coach being kept around 5 years unless we have massive improvements.

If he's a stopgap, what's wrong with making him a better stopgap, until you get your guy?

Gayle should kick the tires on Coach Prime.

I'd prefer an old school hard-nosed coach, so I guess Mike vrabel would be one guy. I would hope they would take a serious look at.
If they can find a great young offensive mind who isn't too soft then sure bring him on in also.
Dennis Allen just had that substitute teacher vibe the whole time he was here. It's like no one ever took him serious
The team needs somebody who lays down the law and holds people accountable

NFL is and offensive league. Go get a young offensive coach that will give you a chance at long term success.

Kliff Kingsbury should get another shot, he’s doing wonders with the commanders and Jayden. His last season as head coach at Arizona was a disaster because of Murray’s maturity but before that he was 11-6.
I think he’s a better OC than HC and his offensive philosophy really suits having a mobile qb
He was also Manziel’s OC for perspective. Now Jayden. If we had a mobile QB I think I’d be much more excited for that hire

Here are the likely job openings:
1. Jets
2. Saints
3. Jaguars
4. Giants
5. Cowboys
6. Browns
7. Rams (if McVay finally retires)
8. Bears
I would say on that list, only the Browns and Jaguars are worse jobs than the Saints, so I would assume the prestige candidates like Ben Johnson wind up in the New York market or Dallas.

If the Jags fire Pederson I bet we hire him

I could also see the Bengals and Eagles coming open as well. Bengals if they really tank, Eagles if they have another possession flameout
Both would clearly be more desirable than the Saints job as well
