Loomis ain't going nowhere. Loomis will likely be hiring our next coach or the only thing i can see is Loomis hiring another football mind/assistant GM who can head up personnel dept etc but i still see loomis hiring next coach and continue the bookkeeping operations.

Its good for getting out from under that contract but you better have a solid plan for hiring the next coach in place.
Hiring/raiding from the Pats and Ravens would be a good start.

Payton stays if:
-Brees re-signs
-we sign or trade for an established backup ie Kirk Cousins, Sam Bradford, Jimmy G, Alex smith
Payton goes if:
-Brees leaves
At this point Loomis needs to relinquish his GM title. Hire a true personell guy to be GM. If it's Jeff Ireland, fine. But there needs to be some type of hierarchy established.
The Saints really really failed on not landing a QB last year

The hierarchy needs to be set. I'd argue Payton has more personnel say than belicheck does and that's not always a good thing. Loomis needs to move into a president role to oversee the Benson empire and hire the right people to run the teams because both are on the verge if sinking with him playing this pseudo-gm role for both.
As for failing to land a qb, not getting mahomes was disappointing. I was going to melt because of it, but he looks better than next years crop.
