a fat kid looking for cookies.

But now with the Saints not picking until late in round 3, it seems pointless.

It's not that I'm not interested the draft this year. It's just that nobody on this planet can guess who's going to be there when we make our first pick at #89.

Anybody else feeling this way?

Same here. but we have been semi successful in the 3rd round under Lomis and Payton.

I'm think I'm looking forward to the draft next Thursday night but it's kind of a downer we don't have a 1st pick.

I started feeling that way about this year's draft when we traded our #1 pick for Ingram. Granted, I was and still am excited about him playing for the Saints.

Either way, yeah... I feel that this year's draft class is pretty bad anyway.

I may play the drinking game based on how many mentions they make of bountygate and Payton's suspension.

I figure I'll be plastered halfway into the first round.

I've made a permanent pledge to mute the TV for any Saints broadcast from here on out. I did it for LSU games last year and it worked out pretty well during the year of controversy over a meager barfight.

Regardless, the draft to me is mediocre, long, and drawn-out anyway. I will probably spend the day drinking regardless, and just look at the highlights later.

Same here but I am glad we traded our #1 this year for sure as hell Goodhead would have taken it from us.

I am still going to watch the draft to see where some of the college players I have enjoyed watching end up. I am sad that we dont have a pick until the 3rd round but Im still a fan of the game as a whole.

Look on the bright side. Since most of us won't be watching, we won't have to look at Roger goodell's smug face.

Im still jacked up. We draft well and its something to watch football wise in the offseason. Cant wait. Its even fun to look up 1st round mocks to see where players you like are gonna end up. Whether or not we have a 1st rounder, its still entertaining IMO.

I read them blues and I admire your work.

I just can't get excited about it.

It's way too speculative with that late a first pick.

This. Too many completely unpredictable things can happen in the first 88 picks.

Is that an RG3 #1 overall prediction??

I'll still enjoy the draft. Although it will not be nearly as fun as the last two years. I'm interested to see Claiborne, Brockers, and Randle get selected. Keeping that outside hope that we somehow trade in and grab someone awesome.
