Yeah, he had one or two beast plays last season where you could see what he's capable of. I'm excited about him. But Payton said that he would eventually play him at DE. I don't know if that means spotting Cam on the strong side, or if he expected Onyemata to lose some weight and play RDE. Curious to see what he looked like at minicamp.

Ian Rappaport (I know) said that it was discovered during predraft physicals. He said that the issue that Fairley is having now is the same thing, so that bodes well for his being able to continue playing.

While I hope that's not the case.. I'll always have pause about Fairley.

He's a good player and hopefully this isn't serious but there is just something that feels off here. I don't think anybody expected him to play almost every snap to begin with. shite.. the tempo of the game nowadays is crazy. But he was lucky in the Lions game not to draw a foul on Stafford and then...

his penalty in the Kansas City game really pissed me off. I don't know if we'd have won if we got the ball back with more time left on the clock but what that play showed me... that he's capable of some selfish bullshite.

oh well...

Dude, his mom had just died. He made a mistake, but showing up at all was completely selfless.

still doesn't explain his antics in the Lions game.

he tried (don't know if he landed it) to hit Stafford in the nuts.

the replay showed it and the commentator immediately said something.. obviously.

you're right. Not to get off subject but I know what losing a parent is like.

I was wrong.

Just so Ingram could fumble at the goal line again?

I'm really interested as to why this is suddenly an issue. The reports don't say that anything has changed with this, and the condition was already there - so why is it a thing now?

So all of a sudden heart condition after signing a big multi year deal. Did the Saints do test before the contract or did this just all of a sudden happen?

Although I haven’t examined Fairley, I am optimistic he will be fine to safely continue playing.

A couple players a year are caught with this low threshold level screening. Star Lotulelei was famously ruled out of working out at NFL scouting Combine in 2013 but has had no issue in his career with the Panthers. Players are followed with yearly echocardiograms. Most likely, Farley had some questionable enlargement and is undergoing further workup for safety and will be ultimately cleared for football.

Dr. David Chao

He knows what he's talking about. Looks like we're probably in the clear.

Because it's the offseason and reporters and pundits need stuff to rant about to keep clicks high.

Latest is they are waiting for a 3rd opinion on him.

"The first one was one that advised that he shouldn't play football again," Payton said after organized team activities. "The second opinion was a little different, and he's ... already gotten a third opinion. We're waiting on that opinion.
