If Pete Carmichael calls the plays.

Tons of cap space, a defense trending upward, and a homerun of a 2016 draft.

Remember 2009? Picture that team with a dominant defense.

I'm going to bump this thread when we start 13-0 next year. The groundwork has been laid. With a couple more pieces, the Saints contend for a title once again. Look past the doom and gloom of Mondays after a loss and rejoice with me!

If we get Jonathan Allen and have a decent free agency then we're good to go.

We will have to trade up to get him.

Browns
Jags
49ers
Bears
Jets

with 3 games left we have to lose out for a very small chance at him. SF will likely grab him unless a run at QB is made and all the above teams need a QB.

We will be battling with Philly, Carolina, Colts, Bengals etc for the spot after those teams. Im thinkinig between pick 8-10 and that just wont get him.

Next year I am setting the bar of expectation at

December being a month that we don't have to start with mathematical scenarios in which we make the playoffs.

Maybe even be in a situation where we actually lead the division and control our own destiny you know for shites and giggles.

FA top G, draft a G and T, draft a DE, and get a 2nd tier or maybe 1st tier SLB in FA, assuming a SLB is cheaper than a MLB or jack. Carmichael call plays and get rid of McMahon. Invest in Oline.

Injuries on the OLine probably the untold story of our offensive suckage over the last two weeks.

We need to get better on the o line. Without a commitment to the run I'm afraid I don't see the impetus to do so.

I believe this is true.

And it's a make or break year for CSP.

This year was a lot about injury (early) and still working through lack of chemistry (late)

Next year we won't have those issues and we'll be a year older and more experienced.

Exactly. It was 2008 all over again. Young team that was about ready to gel but not quite there yet
