I swear some of you idiots apparently thought he would play for free? Exactly what did you think he would sign for?
Its not even remotely out of line for a middle of the road (if not better)NFL starter, who had several teams after him. Oh wait I saw who posted this. Dumb as ever.

Why the hell would you take Carr over Dak or Cousins?
I’m not arguing that the Saints are not in cap hell. So don’t twist my words.
But I’d take Carr over Dak all day. And cousins it’s a wash.

They must have consulted with Scott Woodward on how much to pay!!
Woodward hires a coach that takes us from worst to first in the SEC West and wins 1 less game than the previous two seasons COMBINED.
And your take on this is to throw shade on him for spending too much of the budget he was allocated to hire said coach?

Based on what? Dak has better stats and better team success.

I missed this stupidity

A player in a sport with a salary cap there is some valid concern on the impact to the overall cap, but a coach? Why do people get upset with the salary? They get way too hung up in the numbers.

People here forget Dak is a Louisiana kid that wanted to play at LSU, but Les Miles was a retard and only offered him to play fullback.
So he went to State and bashed LSU’s faces for the next 5 years. Now he’s a Dallas Cowboy and he just had his first bad season in the NFL (due to an injured thumb in his throwing hand)
And people are all wet about Carr now. It’s a really bad board in terms of bias and homerism. So I actually do think 90% of the people on here have convinced themselves that Carr is better than Dak at this point.
However, if we had somehow Traded for Dak instead, this board would have done a 180 and been saying the exact opposite. It’s a very reactionary, tribalistic board for the most part.

He played in 3 games against LSU and was 1-2

Bias/ homerism is a part of it and Cowboys hate is another factor. Because they lost in the playoffs and Prescott played poorly people overreact with the bashing, same thing happened with Romo.

If you look at the history of State vs LSU, beating them once in Tiger Stadium and coming within a play of beating them again in Tiger Stadium is pretty damn strong for a Mississippi State team that had almost zero history of being decent before Dak got there.
The overall talent gap between the 2 teams was so damn wide.
Dak would’ve won a Natty or 2 at LSU

You are moving the goal posts

FTR I’ve been mocking the people saying Carr is better than Prescott. I think Dak is better by a decent margin.

Was it? That was 2013-2015 not exactly great LSU teams. It’s not like State has no pros. Wasn’t Chris Jones on those teams? Mckinney, Redmon and P Smith I think we’re all top 3 round picks

The problem I have with statements like this is we assume he’s the same player in any situation. Like coaching and schemes/systems have zero impact. I would argue it was Mullen’s coaching and development, his offensive system and schemes that made Dak a better player and that wouldn’t have happened at LSU with Miles and Cameron. Not to defend Miles but all the other big boys passed too. Why wasn’t he at Auburn or Florida? IMO Mullen and State made Prescott what he became
ETA obviously the player has to have talent and also has to work at the craft, but I do think coaching and development matters and some players work better is certain systems

There are maybe 3 QBs in the league who were better than Goff the last 10 games of the season and Carr was not one of them.
Goff just had by far a better season than Carr has ever had.. people shitting on Goff didn’t watch the lions this year, he was good and they are gonna be a really good team next year.

They’re literally the same QB. One just had Sean McVay, Todd Gurley, Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks for most of his career
Career comp%
Carr 64.6%
Goff 64.2
TD%
Carr 4.4
Goff 4.4
INT%
Carr 2.0
Goff 2.0
QB Rating
Carr 91.8
Goff 92.8
If you think Goff can’t get the job done, then so can Carr

Goff had none of those guys last year, which is the year he was talking about.
Are AMRB Jamaal Williams/oft injured Swift better than Adams and Jacobs?

Goff has 100 starts in the league, we don’t cherry pick a 10 game sample and deem one guy superior to the other. Carr went 12-3 once and was 3rd in MVP voting, it doesn’t take precedent over his mediocre resume over 142 starts

He specifically said the last 10 games of last season. Also isn’t LAST SEASON a better indicator of how some one might play next season than 2016?
