Everyone is better than him. You haven’t heard Carr is a bottom feeder who should be a backup. The Saints should go get the next Tom Brady in the 6th round. Or better yet go sign a young Aaron Rodgers who is currently in the league for 15 million a year. See…..simple as that, I’m with the other GM’s on here I just don’t see why they just don’t do that. Or the ever popular tank theory, just suck for 2 years, clear cap space and rebuild through the draft since that is almost guaranteed future success.

I know what he specifically said. It’s a ridiculous notion to suggest any 10 game sample represents a QB’s value, especially guys who have 100+ starts in the league

Also isn’t LAST SEASON a better indicator of how some one might play next season than 2016?

Sure, if you’re cherry picking statistics to satisfy an argument. It could hold credence if you believe Carr is washed and Goff hasn’t somehow reached his ceiling. Which you should clearly declare if that is the case

I was literally talking about last year when Goff had none of those guys and was a lion not a Ram.. he also had by far a better year than Carr has ever had and was playing as well as anyone at the end of the year.. this was in regards to this board trying to argue that Carr is better than everyone in the nfc except hurts which is false.

Goff had one of the best OLs in the league, two great RBs, and a top 10 WR in St Brown. Chark isn’t half bad either. He wasn’t exactly playing with a bunch of chumps

Are AMRB Jamaal Williams/oft injured Swift better than Adams and Jacobs?

I’d take the combo of St Brown, Williams/Swift, a much better OL over Jacobs and Adams, yeah lol. Don’t forget, Waller and Renfrow were hurt for a lot of the year as well.

Not saying he was playing with scrubs. I live in Michigan and lions are my B team. I think they are legit and will be very hood next year. All of the stuff I said was in regards to someone saying Carr was better than everyone except maybe hurts which is just plain and simply false. Only reason I brought up the last 10 games is because Goff was playing as well as anyone in the league those last 10.. and carr has never played at that level. Lions were 8-2 in that stretch with a last second loss to the bills in which they should have won.

I’m not hating on Carr either.. I support the signing and think we will be fine, I’m just being realistic, he’s not the best qb in the nfc and saying so is just crazy. We don’t need Carr to be the best tho.

Just to add to my last post..

Goff 2022:
Yards - 4438
TDs- 29
Int - 7
Cmp - 65%

That’s 6th in the league in yards and TDs and the people ahead of him in TDs all had double the INTs. The Lions were playing as well as anyone the last 10 games of the season and he was a huge reason why.

AMSB missed all or part of 3 games. Hes very good Adams is a top 3-4 WR. Chark played 1 more game than Renfrow, they traded Hockenson mid season so got less from him than Waller and you are smoking crack if you think Williams and can’t stay healthy Swift are close to Jacobs

I’ll grant you the Lions OL is better but the Raiders did have weapons

Right now it is definitely Carr. This may change after the Carolina draft.
