Why the Saints always suck?
I told him they don't ALWAYS suck. We were good for a long time and we were VERY good for a portion of those season. We are just in transition and need to find a QB and a HC.
He responds well they miss the playoffs every year...
I just looked at him and started laughing.
I can't argue with his logic. In his LONG history of following the saints (2022 and 2023), we have missed the playoffs 100% of the time.

Tell your little shite head kid that years of sucking, fighting to be above average will make life's precious moments of winning something of significance more meaningful and worthwhile.
If we made the playoffs every year, he wouldn't really appreciate the significance of making the playoffs every year and would just bitch why we aren't in the super bowl... then winning the super bowl..

Were we good for a long time? A decade-ish?
Basically the Sean Payton era but with four 7-9 seasons (including three straight) mixed in. Also earlier than expected playoff exits?

I did tell him that we were better than the Falcons. I took him to the final home game so he got to see it with his own eyes. The little shite said "well they're awful so that's not much to brag about."

Meh. Historically the Saints have been terrible. The good years are a very recent phenomenon and seem to have been short lived.

They don't. The Saints are around average. Certain teams are always playing for a SB like KC but there's only a handful of teams like that. The rest are average at best. About 3 teams truly suck.

Point out to him that they suck soooo bad that
- Tulane used to have more banners hanging in the dome than da aints, then tulane moved out
- one of the most legendary plays in franchise history, THE BLOCKED PUNT , they can't even get the statue to honor the moment correct
