If we end up with Rizzi and also let our young up and coming OC walk that would be nuts. We still need an OC. If we end up with Riz we’d have wanted to keep Kubiak I think. It’s Kellen or bust now. We’re gonna overpay for his arse too, he has all the leverage.

No Glenn, no Johnson,, no Brady, no Kingsbury, etc..
Even McCarthy chose a year on Ozympic over an aging roster lacking a franchise QB, and anvil'ed to a bunch of bad contracts.
Looks like the overrated chosen one that has been masked by Cowboys and Eagles talent will get the call? Meh.

The fools on here will bend over backwards to believe the Saints are getting turned down be everyone in the league.
McCarthy wasn't getting interest from the Saints. Plain and simple that's all it was. This announcement is him saving face.

Probably. And given his age and current trends in NFL. I would fully expect most any team to try Moore over McCarthy in 2025, SB resume or not.
My two lifetime NFL teams..Raiders and Saints. Both with clownish FOs. Loomis lost his Fastball long ago, Payton bailed to Den and Walton ownership. And Al Locasale and Al Davis have been deceased for ages now.
This sucks.

I think they had wanted to go offensive background coach the whole time, but that's also based on rumors.

They aren’t getting Moore, it’s been Rizzi from the start. All of this coach search has been is a smoke screen for Saints fans.!if they want to her Rizzi, it’s better to look like you actually tried to hire a good coach so that you avoid the Dennis Allen appearance.

IMO the tell will be if Rizzi takes the Denver ST coordinator job this week or next.that's basically sitting there waiting for him.
If they Moore takes the job or if he's already taken the job (Kubiak took the OC job the week before the SB but they didn't announce until after the game) They're not going to keep Rizzi on the hook just to tell him they're not hiring him. They'll give him the optics of him backing out to become Denvers ST coach. If Rizzi doesn't leave for Denver before the SB then IMO there's a good chance he's getting the HC job in NOLA and Chris Banjo will take over ST in Denver.

I like the Kellen Moore choice over Brady or any other name that was floated this year. Not sure why he'd take it but maybe he thinks he can win here. We are in the worst division in football and there's been a lot of bottom of the barrel teams that have turned it around recently with smart draft choices.

Brady, McCarthy and Moore all have the same agent. Obviously there’s more at play here that what’s on the surface. Looks a lot better when the coach pulls their name vs not getting a job
