Mickey Loomis was asked if he'd draft a QB. The Saints GM clearly didn't like the question

The Saints (7-8) need to win their last two games and hope the Carolina Panthers take out the Buccaneers in the finale to win the NFC South and make the playoffs.

So, do we think he really believes the season isn't over?
Or, is he just hoping to postpone the reality for a couple more weeks so he doesn't have to answer tough questions?
As for whether his answer indicates they wouldn't draft Daniels, I don't think it indicates that. I think it indicates that he's not very familiar with the specifics of this draft and couldn't discuss it intelligently even if he were willing.

Hey Mickey, there's 2 games left in the regular season. You're not the head coach, you're not coming up with gameplans for these next 2 games, you make personnel decisions as GM. To be fair, he’s the GM of a team not technically eliminated from playoff contention. He got defensive because he knows he fricked up, but he’s still committed to that frick up for now. Hopefully he’s feeling the heat.

You guys are being dumb. He clearly means the season is still happening, games are still being played. Saying you’re in the middle of something doesn’t literally mean you’re at the mid way point, it never has.
DA isn’t getting fired and he can’t make draft or free agency moves for months. So yes he isn’t going to talk about personnel moves before the season is over.

The last time someone let on that the Saints were going to draft a QB (and which one) in the first round, someone jumped one spot ahead of us and drafted him. Maybe Loomis should have said exactly what he said.
